This works well despite the criticism in some reviews. I am very happy with this scraper. packaged well and received in good time.

Not sure what you would use this for..... Not as a scraper for sure
Don't get this one you need to get the one in the other colour (bot green - I think Orange?) because that one keeps the blade down. This one is pretty useless really.

no replacement blades
cannot buy additional blades for this item and therefor makes this an expensive buy irrespective of its performance, which is very good, therefor i have rated it very low at just two star

It doesn't stay open at all so I have to hold it in place but yes it definitely self retracts.

Pues no es la maravilla que pensé la verdad prefiero las de acero y es muy incómodo sea retráctil, recomiendo Osmo modelo pero manual que no sea retráctil

I would give this 5 stars, but the blade does not lock open, you have to hold the blade open to use it. It is great to use when cleaning up old paint or residue from floors and smooth surfaces you don't want to scratch.

I am amazed at all the positive reviews here. Some of them even mention that it doesn't lock and still give 4 and 5 stars????? If it wasn't supposed to lock in place then, I wouldn't have purchased it. In the description and on the package is says "Blade Locks Easily into Position" Based on what I can tell, and based on the little lock icon on a part of the button to extend the blade, what they actually mean is that this part of the button, stops the blade from coming out all the way for replacement. If you want to replace the blade you push the "lock" icon part down so that it slips under the rest of the case and you can replace the blade. SO.....When you use it you have to hold the button the whole time to keep it in the using position and I guess, like I said the "lock" means it keeps it from fully extending. LET ME REPEAT THIS. The blade does not lock into place for use!!!!! If you are OK with that, then go ahead and purchase. At the very least they should change the package and the description.
