UPDATE:The good thing about this hose is that JFSG did honor their lifetime warranty and sent me a replacement hose. It seemed too be of slightly better quality, and even a bit longer than the original. Unfortunately, this replacement also broke after less than 2 months of use. <see photos>UPDATE:It is sort of ridiculous that this broke the day after I wrote my original review. I always turned off the water at the source before completely emptying the hose. Always stored it under cover. Today, while going about me usual business of watering my plants, I noticed it start to leak where the green fabric met the brass. Moments later, the brass connector burst off the hose. <See photos>Previous review:So far so good. It works as advertised. No leaks or bursts in the first month of use. Nozzle works well (although the "soaker" function is hilarious - it just sort of sprays everywhere. Why would anyone want that?). I would still choose this over the standard backyard hose. It is convenient to store.Only complaint is that my outdoor faucet makes a strange sort of squeaking sound every time the water pressure change as I turn the nozzle on and off. This might be peculiar to my setup, but I don't know

I bought this hose five and a half months ago and it was great while it lasted! But two days ago I felt a pop and water started pouring out all along the hose, of course then never making it to the nozzle at the end. I presume the internal part of the hose busted. Now I get to find out whether this lifetime warranty is as good as it's supposed to be. But having to deal with it at all is still a pain I would have preferred to avoid. I haven't enjoyed watering my garden with a watering can in 100 degree heat either.UPDATE: You have to contact the vendor directly (through Amazon.com) to utilize the warranty. (They need the order number.) They have two days to reply, but they replied in a couple of hours even though I sent my message after hours. They sent me a new hose, no questions asked, with two-day shipping, and didn't make me return the old hose. The new hose is working well so far. I'm extremely happy with the warranty and customer service.

DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE. I've had two, and within months both developed severe leaks where the hose joins the brass nozzle coupling (see photo). In neither case did I abuse or excessively strain the hose; in fact I was the only person to use the second one and was extremely gentle with it at all times.This hose consists of a rubbery inner hose whose expansion is limited by a cloth outer shell. Apparently the strain of normal usage -- the water pressure that builds when you're opening and closing the nozzle to water potted plants, for example -- puts too much stress on the stretchable inner hose, causing the rubber to tear and separate where it is clamped to the brass coupling. And I live in a neighborhood with relatively low water pressure.To the seller's credit, after the first hose failed he promptly refunded my entire purchase price and sent me a replacement. So this second hose that failed today was completely free.Still I can't in good conscious refrain from posting this review. No one should waste his or her time with this hose, as its design is clearly flawed.Best of luck to the seller if he can offer a redesigned Version 2.0, as the concept is great. Both times I appreciated the hose's ability to shrink on its own when I was done using it, but he shouldn't continue selling something that is so obviously prone to failure in normal use.

Opened it up and carefully read the instructions - a great concept and worked great for about 4 car washes over the first 2 weeks, then the metal joint that connects the rubber hose at the spray nozzle end fell off right off while I was simply spraying my car with my 12 volt dc water pump which only produces 40-50 psi. So I applied a repair with a hose clamp - and that worked for another 4 -6 car washes or so and then broke at the rubber hose where it connects to the metal joint at the sprayer end again. A big design shame for this product (purchased March 2016 - dead twice by mid May 2016) that cannot hold up for a few weeks or uses at a time. I'm hoping a vendor figures this out where the internal hose does not break in this way because when it does work, it works well -also hoping that the cost is under $50.

EDIT 11/30/2016 - We reached out to the seller to receive a replacement hose since it has a lifetime warranty and never received a replacement. We have contacted Amazon who is reaching out to the seller on our behalf.Overall the product is rated at OK and possibly lower. It was excellent for the six months I owned it, very happy. However, after only six months, the inner tubing broke near the end where it hooks up to the faucet. This is the second one of these types of hoses I have bought and each time, at some point, the inner tube splits open. My husband is always careful to not leave the water on when not using and does not leave the hose full of water. I would buy it again but need to find a vendor that has a better reputation for quality. I have gone through two of these in about a year and at approximately 40 dollars a pop, I don't know if I am going to do it again.Edit: After writing this review I looked into the refund policy and they offer a 100% guarantee. I have contacted the company and am waiting. If the return policy goes smoothly, I would up my rating to four stars. I like the product but if they are going to replace the product when it breaks I will stick with it.
