think of this as a remote controlled car plus you can make move its limbs, walk or roll over a smooth surface, for best results ,and yes you can programme it to make a series of moves which look like dancing ,can repeat it on the press of a button . On start up you will see the robot do this to one pre-programmed music track that is good but very basic. As for the batteries i use disposable but also you can use rechargeable which you will need to provide. It has limited play potential but it is a nice piece of tech for the money an impressive creation that for all its design feels like a robot
