A little expensive for what is, a piece of folded stainless steel! However it does keep my stove in place when folded and in use, makes a very useful base. Worthwhile purchase, if pricey.

A luxury addition or an essential part of the kit?I'd say this is an essential part of the folding bushbox kit as it is handy for a few reasons:1 - It fits underneath the assembled stove to provide extra stability and catch embers as they fall through the bottom grate. This helps prevent damage or fire to forest floor.2 - It holds the folded stove very securely and still fits inside the tough carry case which comes with the Bushbox set.3 - It can be used for shaving tinder onto or for lighting the fire on. he fire can then be dropped into the stove.Yes, it may be expensive for what is essentially folded stainless steel but it is so good that I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone with a Bushbox folding stove set.Basically if you've already splashed out £70+ on the LF version of the folding stove does it make much difference to the cost to add this too?Not really and it completes the set nicely.

Really good very handy keeps the bush craft LF in place when attached just a good all round piece of kit
