DEWENWILS Water Timer 3 Zone with Automatic/Rain Delay/Manual Mode

I have had other timers that were harder to program and quit working 6 months later. This one was very easy to program and works on time . If you go on vacation for a week or two make sure you put a fresh battery in because it won't turn on when battery is low. The display is very easy to read and bright enough to see. To adjust the watering days or how long to water is very easy to do. Good value for your money!

I bought two a couple years ago. They work great. Getting familiar with the programming takes a bit of patience, but it does it all. Contrary to some reviewers, it DOES permit watering different zones on different days and with different durations/settings. Fully customizable watering or changing specific settings for what's needed. I change out the 9v battery every spring. I did have a temporary issue with one of the buttons - sits out in the weather all year long. But somehow worked out the issue and it operates fine now. Recommend for anyone with a little patience and a need for some dependable automation. Starting year three and going strong.

At the close to 2yr mark, this is still running fine, but is starting to show signs of wear (fading, buttons are less responsive (but still functional)) Fingers crossed it still has a few years of life in it. Ease of Use/Assembly/Install: **** (4 star) It is fairly straight forward to setup and program. Usefulness/Appearance/Fun Factor: **** (4 star) Works as intended. Notice sometimes there is some water dripping from one of the ports, but post timer, so might just be from sprinkler connector? Does not allow for watering every other day and no calendar, so have to manually change program per watering season. Battery life is about 9-10months before requiring change.

As per other reviews, buyer beware... This product, lasted ~2 seasons (Spring- Summer), then just stopped work, no display of functionality. It was never used or left out during our cold season and was stored, indoors during the winter. I purchased this product in 2023, as a replacement for an Orbit product that failed (internal leak). The next season, I replaced the DEWENWILS system with one from Rainpoint. All of these units have failed in some way after too short period (a season or two), so I've started to go back and review the products. I will say, the maker/seller of the Rainpoint product did extend a full refund. I have found that the hose watering timers, that live outdoors for the season are a longevity disappointment. If you buy one, plan to buy another next season!

I've never used one of these wizardry machines before, and honestly, I was skeptical! Having wrestled with hoses in every house I've lived in (including my vintage 100-year-old dream), the thought of changing hoses at dawn or dusk made me cringe. But guess what? I took the plunge and tried this magical timed sprinkler system! My lawn is greener, my garden is thriving, and I can finally binge-watch my favorite series without playing hose hopscotch! Seriously, I’m ordering more of these miracle-makers. You NEED to get one!

I installed this controller in an irrigation valve box to protect it and it worked great. It turned on at the correct time and put out water as it should. We then had a month and a half of nonstop rain, so I turned it off and shut the water off to it. Today I went to set it back up and when I turned the water on it started a steady seep at the edge of the screen by the arrow buttons. If you press down on that spot it just spreads down the edge of the screen. It was enough that after about a minute there was a small puddle under it. I was very disappointed in this because I had been very impressed by the unit prior. Well I guess, you win some and you lose some.

This unit worked very well, it is easy to install and to program. I used it for a few months then installed a full under ground sprinkler system.

I love this! Works like a charm! Last ones I bought all broke pretty easily (different product all together), hopefully this one lasts better. Was easy to program.

I’m sure this system is excellent. I can’t comment on its use as I have not been able to use it. The connector threads are American and I can’t buy the attachments in the U.K. quite a waste of money for me, but I’m sure it works well.

Unfortunately even when I tightened it up on my tap it leaked. Then I couldn’t get it off of the tap because I’d tried to stop the leak by tightening it further. The rubber “gripper” was a bit useless in aiding the unscrewing of the timer and it stretched and ripped the more I tried to undo the timer. Myself and my dad have since tried it on multiple taps and each time it has leaked. Ill keep trying and maybe replace the washer

I am a fan of Dewenwils products (I have their garden wifi light timer and it is excellent), and wanted to love this item too, but it fell a bit short of my needs. It looks to be good quality, and the programming and the screen are clear. Unfortunately, it does not allow different zones to have different activation timings on different day patterns. Basically, you have to choose one set of days and then vary the timing for each zone, up to 4 times on those same days. I marked it down for this restriction, but otherwise it look like a great unit!
