Great Quality
I’m a big Knipex fan. I have a number of their tools and they are always great quality. I’m using these nibblers to cut 20 gauge (around 0.038”) 304 stainless steel, which is much harder to cut than mild steel, and these nibblers are doing a great job. The stainless is close to the maximum size that these nibblers can cut and I feel like the blade is going to wear out faster than it otherwise would. I’m glad to see that you can buy new replacement blades at a decent price.I would definitely recommend these nibblers, especially compared to the cheap brands being sold on Amazon. These are from a very reputable brand and they are relatively cheap for such good quality.

Cuts well
I used this nibbler to cut some 24ga sheet metal and found it does a great job. It leaves a good finish on both sides of cut, and I even used it to help clean up some rough edges from an angle grinder.

Very Nice Tool! Works Very Well For Its Intended Purpose
I bought these nibblers to do a specific job to install a heat extraction vent in an automobile hood. I needed nibblers that would not distort the sheet metal and make a mess of it. I have had experience with Knipex tools before, and they are very high quality. These performed great for my task, and you can achieve a very high level of precision with them once you use them for just a few minutes. I only used them to cut single layer autobody sheet metal. I can see where other folks had issues or actually broke the cutter jaw on theirs by trying to cut sheet metal that was too thick. If you use them properly they are more than worth the money.

Worked as advertised
These nippers cut a clean slot through 16ga material and left a clean edge with no curling or deforming. It does leave a slight serration but nothing significant. Some of the reviews that reference pinching are correct but if you are aware of it and are careful it’s not an issue fir people experienced with hand tools.4 stars instead of five because it takes a pretty small cut so if you have a long piece of steel it takes a lot of cuts and you may want to consider a powered nibbler.

Decent Product
These Knipex nibblers are a quality tool, and they work well. Knipex has a reputation for quality, and these nibblers meet that expectation in every way. They cut easily and don't cause much distortion to the edge of the metal at all. I've used them on 20 ga and 22 ga both. One small detail -- be careful of your hand placement when cutting through. The handles have raised sections that allow you to have leverage to push the tool along, but if you have any skin on top of those sections when you cut through, you will feel it.

Broke 3rd time I used them
I only used these on residential HVAC ductwork and they broke on the 3rd use. Honestly it was way easier and more efficient using the standard $25 metal snips.

Not great, at all.
Yes, the tool will nibble thin sheet steel, etc. but it works from an open edge only. Cannot rotate during cut more than a few degrees. Not possible to cut an inside rectangle. For the price, just not worth it.

Two thumbs up (and no bandages).
My wife wanted me to weld a sheet metal backing to a metal picture frame and all I had to cut the metal was some snips. I knew they would leave a jagged edge with lots of metal deformed by moving the snips around. I did a bit of research and found nibblers recommended for cutting this kind of thing. I was surprised by the high price, and figured I would probably never use them again to make a picture frame so was a bit reluctant to make the purchase. Alas this was turning into yet another example of a special project becoming far more expensive than they should, but I didn't see another good option and I rationalized that if they are a quality tool they should last a long time. I purchased the tool, and it worked surprisingly well for what I wanted from it.In using it I learned it had another very significant advantage over snips. If you've ever tried to make something from sheet metal you know that if you use snips you get one sharp edge above the tool and another sharp edge below the tool. Normally those sharp edges point towards your hands as you use the tool, and keeping your hands from getting cut up can be a challenge. With nibblers that isn't a problem. In addition to being able to cut a fairly smooth straight line, the cutting part of the tool keeps both cut edges below the tool and away from your hands. No sliced fingers. Wow. Suddenly the price isn't so painful.

Did the Job
I used this tool to cut a large gasket out of 0.5mm aluminium sheet. It was still a long job but the tool certainly made things easier. Although the tool is basically quite simple there is a technique to using which comes with practice. Be sure to read the instructions.
