Excellent Quiet (Not Silent) Keyboard, Accommodating a Quick, Accurate Typing Experience
In my view, the Cherry Stream wired (full-sized UK layout) keyboard is a *really excellent* serious-minded typing/productivity/non-gaming keyboard.I’ve been using the keyboard for a few days, and already, I feel it is really stellar for productivity and office type tasks, regular typing, and in particular, lengthy typing. In my opinion, it *really excels* for this purpose.======================================**Summary of Positives:**(1) “Quiet” keystrokes. The keystrokes are *not* silent, but they *are* what I would describe as “quiet”.(2) So-called “scissor” membrane switches allow for very precise and quick keystrokes. Accommodates a very fast and accurate typing rate.(3) Solid build quality and a serious looking aesthetic.(4) Plastics look to be hard-wearing.(5) No garish lighting.(6) Very subtle use of small “inside-key” LED indicators for Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock.(7) Full-sized return key.(8) No weird and wonderful function keys cluttering-up the main keyboard area. (There’s a small set of “media keys” at the top, but that’s it.)(9) It’s setup as a Windows keyboard – not a Mac keyboard, and not a hybrid “multiple symbols on each key” type keyboard.(10) Identical model available in wired or wireless variant.(11) Wired model works flawlessly with my KVM Switch (“Keyboard Video Mouse Switch”) unit. (As opposed to wireless equipment, which in my experience, does not work well – or at all – with most KVM Switch units in the marketplace.)After only a day or two, I have acclimatised to this keyboard already, such is the ease-of-use of this keyboard.======================================**Comparative or Alternative Options**For context, I feel this keyboard compares *very* favourably to competing productivity/non-gaming options from Logitech, and surpasses most (and perhaps even all) of them, including their higher cost offerings. To be more specific, I have owned the following Logitech productivity/non-gaming keyboards – and this keyboard is better than all of them:(1) Logitech K120 wired.(2) Logitech MK270 wireless keyboard and mouse combo.(3) Logitech MK295 “silent” wireless keyboard and mouse combo (only the keyboard is quiet – the accompanying mouse was noisy and annoying to use).(4) Logitech MK950 “signature” wireless keyboard and mouse combo. Moreover, at time of writing, the Logitech MK950 combo retails for significantly more than this Cherry Stream wired keyboard, plus a Cherry Gentix “Silent” wired mouse. In terms of other alternatives, I would only consider a highly customised “silent / very quiet” full-sized UK-layout mechanical keyboard build, which requires a certain level of finance, time and research/expertise to achieve. In my view, this keyboard is more than satisfactory for *most* non-gamer “productivity users” or “power users”. So, I’ll be sticking with this keyboard.======================================**Recommended Accompanying Mouse**I recommend using this Cherry Stream wired keyboard with a Cherry Gentix “Silent” (“very quiet”) wired mouse. That is my current daily keyboard and mouse solution for productivity work. It is a quiet (albeit, not silent) solution all-round.======================================**Conclusion**All things considered, I highly recommend this keyboard as a “daily driver” for productivity users – it’s a strong buy.

Nice heavy keyboard, feels good to use.
I have only had this keyboard a short time but so far I am quite impressed with it. It is surprisingly heavy and sits firmly on my desk with no tendency to move around. Typing is comfortable and practically silent (a very slight click, but you need to listen very closely too notice it) No mention in the included paperwork, but there is a program you can download from the Cherry website (I had to search for it!) called "Cherry Keys" this lets you set hot keys for the extra media keys (fast forward, play etc.) and the function keys, I have set my F12 key to open my download folder, but you can have it open a file or folder, open a web page, enter a block of text etc.It also has keys to lock the computer, open the calculator, web browser and email program.Overall in my opinion it is good value for money.

Great for anyone - brilliant for lefties.
Brilliant!! Exactly what I was looking for. The keys are effectively silent - they don't click, clatter or clack at all. Of course, anyone determined to thump hard enough will make a noise, but that kind of wally would make a noise thumping across a deep pile carpet in slippers. The keyboard is described as 'flat', but it has neat little front legs like any other 'normal' keyboard. It’s also wired, which I don't normally like (untidy), but the freedom from dropouts, missed keystrokes etc outweighs that. However, for me, the BIGGEST benefit over my previous keyboard is that the Cap Lock red light is on the Cap Lock key, on the left-hand side of the keyboard. That’s simple common sense for anyone but, if you’re a lefty like me, that really, REALLY matters. In short, for me, this Cherry keyboard is totally brilliant.

Decent keyboard for the price
Got this to replace an old OEM keyboard and am very happy with it.The layout is standard and has some useful media keys at the top. The keys feel very good and there is no flexing of the keyboard, even with my heavier typing. The keys bottom out rather spft, so it is nothing for mechanical keyboard people but I find it overall result in a very good overall typing feel. The cable is nice and long and the keyboard is not too noisy. If I had to change one thing, I would like a backlight.I also did some gaming on this keyboard and found it to be okay for that.

Great Full-size Professional Keyboard
A few weeks in of using this keyboard for working from home - and love it.Great quality , love slim profile but not flat so a slight angle. Also I find I can type much faster than traditional keyboards with more key travel. Comfortable to use for 8-12 hours a day.I don't use the media keys but do in some apps make a lot of use of the function keys. But would make more use of them if connected to my home PCNice full size keys - working on excel a good part of the day means the numeric keyboard is a mustI have this hooked into a work laptop - and obviously working on this keyboard is much better than any laptop keyboard especially for extended hours each day. Also forget wireless type keyboards as I find them laggy and miss keystrokes - so maybe OK for home use (browsing) but not suitable for work in my opinion. That said I have an old HP keyboard (25 +years old) that's even heavier than this attached to my home PC and I absolutely love that - this Cherry keyboard is giving that a good run for its money. So if the HP keyboard does eventually break, I would have no problem considering another Cherry Stream. I got mine from Amazon Resale (was Warehouse) and saved myself a tenner, but even at full price would buy and recommend.

Perfect keyboard. Old school quality (in a good way).
These keyboards are great.I've had one a for a few years and have bought a spare.Durable, easy to keep clean despite being white. It has plenty of customisable buttons and it comes with an app to edit them and set macros. The Cherry App is non intrusive and runs in the background (unlike the Logitech app where if I have the audacity to require my custom buttons to work on my mouse, I have to let the app open in the foreground every time I reboot).Keyboard is comfortable and nice to type on (I type all day). It's not silent but it is quiet. It has dedicated media buttons and function buttons, which all seem to becoming rarer these days.Price seems reasonable for a modern keyboard of this quality. I was a fan of Microsoft keyboards for years and this reminds me of their older quality keyboards before they started making what I can only describe as fragile overpriced pseudo-luxury trash.

A fantastic keyboard for software development.
A fantastic keyboard that makes almost zero noise and is much easier to type on than the mechanical switches. This uses Cherry's low-profile scissor switches and they are so smooth and easy to type on. It would be amazing if Cherry made custom keycaps for these switches, but I could not find any information on line. Obviously this is not a gaming keyboard, but it does pretty well for gaming even so. Full UK ISO keyboard with 4 additional dedicated function keys, and 6 dedicated media-control keys, although I never really use them. So many keyboards these days seem to have the shifted symbols up-side down on the keys, but this one conforms to the original layout spec, partly why I chose it in the first place.

It suits what I wanted
I was looking for a fairly flat keyboard with a short travel-distance on the keys, this delivered.I have a personal (even petty) dislike of tall key-caps and keys that I have to press a long distance before they register (so mechanical keyboards are out). This isn't as flat and short-travel as a laptop keyboard, but it's more like a hybrid between a laptop keyboard and a standard desktop keyboard (at least as far as "feel" goes; it IS a full sized keyboard!), which I find a really nice sweet-spot, and was exactly what I was looking for when I bought this.No rattling wobbly keys, no mushy key-presses, no temperamental "switches" that only work when they feel like it... feels easy, responsive, and precise, and doesn't cost the earth like most of the supposedly "high end" meme-keyboards I've come across.I can pick this thing up and shake it side-to-side, and hear NOTHING. If I do the same with my other keyboards, it sounds like shaking a tray of Lego with how loose and sloppy everything is. This thing is tight and solid. The keys are nice and bouncy, great feedback, no gimmicks, doesn't miss a beat. 5/5(I was looking back over my past Amazon purchases, I'm surprised to find I've been using this keyboard for coming up on 2 years with no problems, so I decided to drop a review.)

Excellent office keyboard, also works quite well for gaming
I'm very fond of low-profile and laptop-style keyboards, so I gave this one a shot and I am very glad I did. This has to be one of the best keyboards I have ever used.Keystrokes are quiet and require the perfect amount of force to press down. I'm using this keyboard for programming, office work and sometimes even for gaming. Even after typing on it daily for multiple hours, I don't get tired of it. I've been using it for a little over 3 months and I still love typing on it.The keyboard also offers extra function keys for volume, media control, and shortcuts to other applications like the web browser and calculator. A very welcome feature as I make heavy use of them.I would absolutely buy this keyboard again and recommend it to anyone who spends a lot of time typing on a computer.
