Feels just like the ones on my wooden-box set from the 80s and a second one I got about 15 years ago. Good to see there been no real drop in quality over the years, and the new zipper pouch storage is much more useful than the classic box.

You can’t beat X-ACTO for quality craft knives! I have owned and used this brand for a very long time and their products always deliver! This kit has a great assortment of blades for any number of projects with quality handles for most any project. Just buy it!

From the start, my one star off is only because this famously American made brand is now made in China. When comparing a legacy American made handle to this one, there is a moderately large difference in feel/weight. At least to my hand. But for the otherwise unbiased, this is a great set especially if you don't have one already. The selection of handles and blades will cover just about anything you need it to do. The blades are sooo sharp, but of course you expected that. The only laughable thing is that the case is huge compared to its contents. I was going to purchase the wood case with essentially the same contents, like my father's legacy tools, but thought this would be more friendly for travel and packing away. There's lots of wasted room inside. It could be easily 1 inch less in height. One nice thing is that the extra blades are held in place magnetically. A nice touch. Note that Amazon has many knock offs with very similar word salad names. Despite the Chinese origins of this set, it appears to be of good quality. Go OEM, not knock off. What you save in $ will I suspect be paid for in quality.

This is an awesome set of X-Acto knives! I've been using the smaller sized blade handle for decades and it did a fine job. The two larger knives included in this set are VERY useful though and I find myself using the large one in the middle of the product picture the most. It allows you to give it a little extra "oomph" without feeling like you're gripping it hard. I've never used the majority of the included blade styles but they definitely come in handy for certain jobs. The rounded one in particular is great. It lets you cut by rocking the blade instead of dragging it. Last the case itself is great. It keeps all three of your handles together and readily accessible along with the asst blades. It's well made and holds everything tight enough to prevent anything from coming loose. If you did a search form"X-Acto knife" and were planning on buying only one handle, you need to change your plans! This is the set to have and you will find yourself using everything included more often than you might think. It's well worth the few extra $$s....

Nice to have a basic set with different holders. I have found the X-acto brand hard to beat. Comes with a few basic blades and a nice zippered holder. I've had it for a few years now and still very useful, have to replace the blades as they are used a lot, but that's with any of the art blades. I may have to get myself another set since my husband keeps swiping it and I have to go hunting for it.

Provides necessary range of 'normal hobby use' handles and blades. I pulled out the plastic tray for the blades and cut it down into 2 squares which still hold the kit's blades; now I can file those and all my other blades in an Altoid box which fits into the space where the tray was. The case can then also hold two other handles I already had.
