Python (2000)
First thoughts...One of my favorite creature movies. It's actually very good. Here's the breakdown.1. Directing--Very well done. Nice camera action from Richard Clabaugh. Good work!2. Script--Nice writing and story from Chris Neal, Paul J.M. Bogh, and Gary Hershberger.3. Acting--I thought it was really good. You have famous stars such as Robert Englund and Casper Van Dien. It also has Wil Wheaton, who was in the 1986 movie Stand By Me. My favorite actor in the movie was by far William Zabka. He's really good. Now for the content review.Rated R for violence and gore, some strong sexuality and language.1. Sex/Nudity=7/10. There are two nudity scenes. One is like five minutes into the movie, so be warned.2. Violence/Gore=6/10. Many people are killed and eaten by the snake throughout the movie and it can sometimes be bloody because the snake kills its victims with acid. There is also a memorable decapitation.3. Language=6/10. Not a lot of language. 4 F-words and other profanities.Final thoughts...Overall 5/5. One of the best creature movies ever and it will always hold a special place in my movie-goer heart. It was one of the first movies I ever saw on the Syfy channel. I was only probably 5 or 6 years old. Recommended to fans of the genre.

Watching a snake movie after a major surgery
Years ago when I was a little kid, I picked up this movie at a blockbuster back when they were still around. I had gotten out of a major surgery the day after so my mom spoiled me and I got to pick out some snake movies, like this one. Back then, I didn’t care about the plot, language, or the lack of quality but rather the snake itself and people getting eaten/killed. Now, it was worse than I remember but I glad I got it just for the nostalgia factor

60 Feet of Pure Terror
Come on now, don't let this scare you away! If you appreciate the effort and time that's spent in movie making you'll like this movie. It was made in a short period of time and with little budget (obviously) and no gratifying theatrical debut. The commentary on this disc is really cool actually, and thankfully it's not just the filmmakers praising the movie. They realise it's not perfect. Sure, this may be about a giant snake, but it's pretty funny, sort of like the Tremors series. I think that this can be enjoyable if you're patient.

I love horror - thriller films and......
The only snake I petted was at the San Diego Zoo when a friend took her boa in to see the curater of the reptile house. They facinate me but having one as a pet was just never going to happen . I think King Cobras are majestic but I don't want to be anywhere in my path! For chills and thrills this is a good movie - just make sure you have your popcorn and soft drinks right by you because you do not want to miss anything!!

A Snake Movie with a Bite
This film is very much like ANACONDA. I bought this movie the first time with LAKE PLACID. I watched Lake placid first and was real impressed and I deciced to watch PYTHON. It has one of my favoratie actors in ROBERT ENGLAND(Freddy Krugger) he was a horror nut and I knew if A Nightmare on Elm Street was good then this had to be better. I loved it and would recommened to any one that likes snake films

Pretty Decent Flick
If your into B-Movies as much as I am, then this film is for you. True, the acting, CGI effects, and plot is a bit lower then normal standards (but hey, is a B-movie ever above standards). Just by the title "PYTHON", you know your into a cornfest. Best advice when seeing this, don't have high expectations. If you ignore the fact that this is a B-movie, and set your acting and CGI standards lower then from something like "STAR WARS: REVENGE OF THE SITH" (actually...MUCH lower), then you may get a kick out of this flick.

SSSShhhhhhhhh fun.
Good but pathetic cheesy fun sees a mutated giant snake the size of a small skyscraper escape from a plane and set havoc on a small community. A nod to classic 50's B movies though the CGI monster snakes looks really goofy. The cast here is who's who of under the radar actors. Think Robert Englund, Casper Van Dien, William Zabka, Will Wheaton (doing his best Scott Weiland impersanation) even Ed Lauters in here. It's all switch off your brain fun and for what it is it's rather good with a few cold beers. Hey so good in fact we got a sequel.

Slitheringly entertaining.
I picked this up and was sceptical to say the least, but for a few pounds, I thought I'd give it a go. The special effects of the snake itself are surpirsingly good. While you can spot the CG effects at times, its still quite inspiring to see such good effects in a film that appears to have had a low budget. Robert Englund plays a good role, and the great thing is that most of the people who are killed completely deserve it, so you are actually cheering the snake for a large part of the movie. Go Mutant Snake!!The only small drawback is the daft accent by Casper Van Dien. I'm not sure if he is supposed to be from America's Deep South, or possibly some strange European country no-one is familiar with, but its immensely annoying. The film is mindless entertainment, and for the sake of a few pounds is worth risking. Not exactly Oscar material, but good B movie pap.

it is obvious you can tell whats gonna happen,a 200 foot reticulated python ravaging calafornia, thats crazy talk but still it ids one of my most favourite movies of all time but still when you see the bodies covered in acid it reminds me of predator and predator 2 with robert englund and casper van dien. from the makers of Boa
