I was skeptical that this would work as advertised, but it does just that. I love soft boiled eggs, and this thing hits the egg with just the right pressure. Easy to peel, no little shell flakes thanks to the cone around the egg tip. This thing is one of those inventions that makes you wonder why you never thought of it yourself. Worth the price if you like soft-boiled eggs.

It works well on both raw and boiled eggs. It works on duck and turkey eggs too (but turkey eggs may need the membrane cut by hand). It says specifically it's NOT for use on raw eggs, but i haven't had any issues. Very easy to clean.

This is a nice looking little egg topper- easy to have out on your counter-mine stays on my planter window in the kitchen. Just don’t pull too hard because it’s pretty heavy and you can smash your egg. Otherwise it greatly improves the soft boiled egg and toast strips breakfast.

This device cuts the shell but not the membrane making it harder to get into a soft boiled egg

Disappointed. This is too small for local eggs. Think the country it's from has smaller sized eggs

Hold the egg in your hand (rather than placing it in cup/on plate), works like a charm!
