This is a good charger. Well made, and good components. First off (super nice feature to save your battery) It defaults to off!!! That's AWESOME! I have installed 3 of these and it's very nice that after power off they stay off till you power them on again! As it should be. It is definitely the higher grade of products in the sea of poor quality on amazon. The threads are good, and it will install well. The switch is awesome - I like that I can turn each individual one on and off and lessen parasitic load on the battery when not in use even if it is a small draw. The only gripe is that they're not really up to the advertised 65 watts of power. Like my laptop won't charge but it will maintain. So good to have but really wished it had the 65 watts to charge the laptop. This will fast charge a phone, but not nearly as fast as an AC powered adapter (for example I compare it to my Anker AC 65w charger). As for the laptop, it will work well if the laptop battery isn't severely drained and in need of a full recharge. All around its good - I really just wish it was up to the true wattage. Heck, I would pay even more than this if it was! Frankly though I would probably order more if the need arrived because I haven't found better.

So, I bought these to use one in my radio go box. I have had problems with one of them, the touch switch works only when it wants. Not a huge problem I just don’t turn it off, as I don’t need to. It is wired to the switch of the power supply so when I turn off the box it shuts off. The other one the switch works just fine. I have not been able to get any of my fast charge devices to kick into fast charge with it. All my devices charge at 1.5 amps which is normal charging current. The parasitic draw of the device is extremely low even with the led light on, not even a ma 21 ma to be exact with the led off it draws 12 ma. This is extremely good. As with all electronics they have a drain even when not in use the trick is to find the ones with the least draw. I was pleasantly surprised to see the draw so low on this device. The power efficiency is right around 62% (see photos above for current draws) Input watts = 0.997 × 12 = 11.964 Outputs watts = 1.48 × 5 = 7.4 power conversion efficiency formula output watts / input watts x 100 7.4 ÷ 11.9 × 100 = 62.18 This is right in the ball park of most consumer electronics maybe a little below par as the range is 63% to 80%. However, when we are talking about such small currents and considering the that most of these will be installed in a vehicle the conversion efficiency is just fine for this application I would buy these again for projects in the future for the price. They are well built and sturdy. I will update this review after I have used this device in the field for a few months.

So far, so good. I installed both chargers, to replace OEM chargers in my camper van. The OEM chargers were 1.0 amp versions, which were not sufficient to reliably charge my iPad. They were also wearing out, so that connection wasn’t reliable. These were easy to install, making sure that polarity was proper, because the slip-on connections were the same as the OEM chargers. I then tested them to make sure that they were working, and so far as I can tell, they are.

USB Outlet works great. And I love the soft blue light it gives off. And you can also turn the outlet off at the outlet. Nice feature. One word of caution. If your voltage to the outlet drops below 12v (like being too far away from the power source, or wire size is too small causing the voltage to drop below 12v) the outlet will not work and will not light up. I had to up size my wiring to one outlet as the voltage dropped to 11.9 volts and the outlet wouldn't work. When I increased the wire size and got the voltage up above 12v everything was fine.

Bought these to create some additional power points in the back seat of my 17 CrewCab SuperDuty. As you can see in pics, I did have to modify them slightly for a more flush mounting. Everything is powered off of some sort of USB these days. They do seem to charge faster as advertised... but thats using someone else’s opinion because I’m not the one sitting back there. I had to mount them upside down so the cover would swing down instead of up (user request). No you cant just turn the cover upside down, the whole unit must be turned, because the covers only fit into their respective ports one way. The lighting is bright enough but not too bright. The power button is touch sensitive and the must be powered on to deliver power. Just plugging a phone in does not auto turn it on either. It must be manually turned on if off. If they are setup to turn on and off with the vehicle, they will retain their last memory... on when vehicle turned off, will be on next time vehicle is started etc etc. I set them up to be powered through a painless performance relay setup which turns them on as soon as the 12V port between them is energized. They are getting their power & ground directly from the truck’s battery at that point. So far so good though. Will update with any issues.

Having used this device now for 6 month and I mean used, It’s still going strong . IPad Pro charges in no time at all. The power button issue, well at the time it was an issue but muscle memory/repetition is a wonderful thing. My finger goes right to the power button every time without having to think on it. I’m buying again when I need more and I will. Would be 5 stars but… You must turn it on every time you start up your vehicle. And that button is tiny, it’s a good thing they put a usb-c in because I don’t believe my finger would fit otherwise. As far as power, it’s good enough to charge my iPad Pro and iPhone simultaneously with no issues. I thought the price was fair for two devices with a c port. I can’t speak for all because I’m mechanically inclined and I’ve seen some people who should not pick up a screwdriver. If your buying this there’s a good chance you know what you’re getting and what needs to happen.

Per ora ne ho installata solo una nella moto, funziona perfettamente. Dovessi scegliere adesso, preferirei un modello con l'interruttore di accensione non a sfioramento, per evitare che rimanga acceso involontariamente.
