Great Camera System
I have had this camera system for a month and have no issues with it. I bought a 2K 32 inch monitor and the pictures are very clear and crisp. I have TP-Link internet router with true high quality internet service. If you don't have high speed internet service you WILL have problems. When I mean high speed, not the speed you need for gaming just an upgrade from your regular service. I did this and everything runs very smooth, and it was only an extra$10 a month. Well worth it when the system works flawlessly. It was -13 degrees with the wind chill of -30 degrees and the cameras were still working. I installed the camera system myself and I had to buy extra 6 cat cables so it would look neat going into the outside wall from the camera box. I also had to but a 100 foot 6 cat cable to run to the far side of my house and it worked just fine. Running the camera wires through the house and outside wasn't to bad. Now that the wires are ran I never have to replace a battery. I also like talking to people while there coming up to my residence with the app on my phone. That's very cool.

Great tech service
Out of the box I had an issue with camera 2 cutting out. I went to the website and got the latest driver and updated all 4. The I noticed the night vision was degraded. Tech Support helped me to adjust that aspect of the performance. Great support and a really professional system. I went 4K and it was the right call. So was going with Swann.

Moisture trapped in Cameras- Customer Service from Hell
The only thing worse than these cameras is Swans customer service. I installed these cameras on a weekend and was overall really happy with the outcome. Shortly after installing we had a heavy rain in my area and I noticed one of my cameras had moisture trapped in the lens. Didn’t think much of it decided to try and reach out to swans customer service and get a replacement. First off good luck getting someone on the phone and finding the right number to call. Then You’ve got to go back and forth through email to see if they approve your warranty claim. The warranty claim involves destroying the camera you have via snipping the cable of your camera and photographing it while you wait for a replacement. I was hesitant considering I didn’t know how long it would take for the replacement to arrive. In the span of time that I was thinking it over, another camera had the same issue. Blurry picture, moisture trapped in the lens. I told them I believed these cameras to be defective and asked them to replace all 8. I was told that they would only replace the 2. As of this morning I have 2 more cameras with the same issue. So 50% of my cameras have the exact same issue. Forgive me for not wanting to wait for the warranty to go out before addressing the issue. Swan advised the cameras are for outdoor but suggest it should be under an eave. 🙄. Funny their pictures in the ad show the cameras just bolted on the side of a house. Initially I liked the system but I think this is a defective batch and like every other warranty out there, they will make you jump through hoops for proper service. Would not recommend wasting your time on this company. UPDATE 6/10/25 After threatening a lawsuit Swann agreed to replace all 8 cameras begrudgingly. I received 8 cameras that don’t work with my system and lack a ton of features than the ones I have. Seems to me they went in the back and sent the cheapest ones they had to try and shut me up. We are over 2 months into this warranty process. I have tried calling numerous times and can never get anyone on the phone besides the technical support people who try to speak with the warranty team but can only tell me they will reach out and they do not. This is BY FAR the worst company I have ever dealt with in terms of warranty. Please for the love of God buy any security system besides this one. Their cameras are garbage and their customer service is even worse.

Great Security System
This security system is great, the picture quality and sound. The night vision is decent. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Easy installation. The Swann app works great 👍🏻

Works with Blue Iris, but not using ONVIF
I can confirm this SWANN SWNVK-1686810FB-US 16 camera NVR system does work with Blue Iris software (as of 2023), but does not appear to work with ONVIF, so unable to pass alerts from NVR into Blue Iris. In the NVR, the protocol should be set to PRIVATE and mode as AUTO on each camera. Blue Iris can also record sound from the cameras through the NVR connection, which is nice, but talk support back through the camera speaker does not work from Blue Iris. My settings that I find to work the best are... For each camera, point to the HTTP address of the NVR, Make=Swann, Model="SWNHD-885 RTSP", Cam#, Main Stream="/ch{CAMNO2}/0", Sub Stream="/ch{CAMNO2}/1",Audio is defaulted as blank.

Camera perfect good quality, delivery as stated, purchased two,reasomble price Be aware the camera has the word HISILICON in the centre of picture when viewed on my PC, looked this up and others have found the same problem and it seems to be associated with HUAWEI, not sure of the implecations

These are the best cameras out of all the ones I have used on my old system. The specification does not appear great but the low light performance is good and image quality appears as good as the 4K cameras. That's just my opinion. I know the speaker was not great on these but it's image quality I wanted.
