Do i need to purchase a speedometer speed sensor for this invision lcd dash kit?

Depends.... if you have a speedometer cable now, when putting in this dash, you will need to get a speed sensor. The instructions that come with it recommends which to get.

Is the software interface upgradeable when new gauge layouts or colors become available? Also is there software to create custom gauges and layouts?

There is a USB port in the back for updates, I don't think you can make your own layouts tho.

Does this plug and play?
