SUCH A SMALL PACKAGE with a TON of Power for Livestreaming!
So I MacGyver most of my tech as much as I can to learn the limits of what I can do with it. When i got the Comica Boom XD I had a few theories in mind. But the main use that I found this is absolutely stellar at, is utilizing this wireless lapel system with live streaming. The fact that it came with two receivers that could each record on their own left or right channel was also very exciting and in my testing I found they answer the call quite well. When it comes to the MacGyver stuff... I tried plugging this unit into a power brick and recording into a camera using the headphone jack and I was not successful. But that was obviously not the use this was originally invented for. The size factor alone is awesome. And even the idea of including a built in microphone with its own dead cat is super awesome and really great for simplifying just setting up and going! I am often hired out to run live streams for other companies and I find that often times I wish I could just put a lapel on someone that feeds directly into my livestream software. This does that without any drivers. It was plug and play the moment I put it in. I tested the range in these and they did very very well reaching well out of sight and considering these have no external antenna and are the smallest wireless lapel units I've seen so far. Very much a winner in my book! Some tiny cons: Would love to be able to adjust my levels on the receiver or transmitter for each transmitter instead of adjusting it through the control panel in my computer. Just makes for a few extra steps I'd rather do right on the unit. Because this comes with two transmitter units that need to be charged, but only one type C cable, I feel they should have included two cables so you can charge both units at the same time, and even included a "wall wart" that has two USB plugins on it to assist in the process. Neither of these are included. Only one Type C USB. All in all, very glad I bought this and it will be my daily driver during my live stream, and a mic pack I will take with me every time I'm hired to live stream an event! If your thinking live stream. Get it!

This product is very convenient and easy to use, but the audio quality needs manual adjustments.
I like how the product is easy to use, essentially a plug and play product, and did not have any technical issues setting it up to my PC. Although I did not have a Type C USB Slot, using a Type C Female to USB Male Adapter made it possible to connect and use at ease. The battery life and distance of connectivity is very impressive, as I could walk a far distance or be on the other end of my house with no issues in connectivity and having a 5 hour battery life makes recording sessions less stressful. The only issue I have with the product is the audio quality, as I expected the product having a higher price tag will translate to a higher end microphone. Overall, if you can get over manually adjusting the audio to your likening on OBS or Audacity, everything else about the product makes it a decent purchase for any current or future YouTuber, Streamer, or Podcaster.

So Far So Good
I have created 1 video with it so far and it seems to work really well. I am yet to try it outside yet, but look forward to trying the deadcats to help with my usual wind noise.

Simple mobile audio
When I saw this I was excited to see that a company finally simplified external audio on mobile devices. Just plug in the received to the phone (without wires!) and you're ready to go. PROS: - Better than phone audio - Plug-n-play USB-C interface - Internal mic - External lav mic - Dual transmitters for interviews - Great for live streams on the go - Small footprint - USB-C charging CONS: - Raw audio quality is good, not great Really the simplicity of this setup is what I love the most. Not having to worry about carrying around extra wires or even microphones is great when you want to travel lightly but still have good audio without having to scream across to the phone. The distance is great for any uses I can think of and the tiny footprint is the icing on the cake.

Good weight/quality balance
I thought my filmmaking days were behind me, but thanks to the fact that I’m currently stuck overseas due to the pandemic I’ve been given the opportunity to finish up a documentary project that started and stalled seven years ago. I’ve been sitting on several hours of interviews all this time, but when I looked back on the footage I realised that the low quality in-camera mic we used gave us terrible sound, with wind and traffic interfering with the speech. At the time my sound guy was a pro photographer, so while the footage itself is beautiful his sound recording equipment was an afterthought bought on a budget, and it showed. Now, seven years later, I finally have the chance to go back and re-interview the same people (more crow’s feet and the weight of years in evidence this time), and I want to do it right. I ordered two sets of Comica mics, totaling three transmitters and two receivers, and out of the box I was impressed. The transmitters themselves feel solid in their metal cases. They’re very small and light but they feel as if they can take a little punishment. I think Comica got the balance just right here. I feel like I could take a tumble from a bicycle and the mic would come out the other end unscathed, but right now as I type I have the transmitter (not the lav mic, but the actual transmitter) clipped to the soft collar of a polo shirt and it’s not noticeably dragging the fabric down. I could easily forget it was there. The clips are also winners. They’re plastic rather than metal, but thick and sturdy without feeling intrusive, and with a powerful spring that feels like it can take years of punishment. All in all the build of the transmitters really impresses me. So far I’ve only performed a couple of basic tests with my wife to check the range/performance with obstructions, and as far as I can see the performance is solid enough that it’s not going to get in the way of filming. I haven’t paced out the range but there are plenty of reviews on YouTube that measure this, and it seems fine. Now to the receiver, which is where I feel the Comica falls down just a little. Like the transmitters the receiver is well built with a metal case, but the USB C connection introduces a frustrating limitation. Thanks to the closed borders I’m a little limited in the range of hardware available, and since neither my cell phone nor my camera have a C input I’ve had to buy a cheap, plasticky adaptor to bridge the gap between USB C and micro USB. Maybe it’s asking too much, but it would have been nice if there were a micro USB option for the receiver, as my workaround feels a little flimsy. I guess this may not be an issue that affects most people, but if you’re limited to micro USB it might be worth looking elsewhere (or upgrading your equipment). On balance I’m quite happy with the Comica set, though. It’s just a very simple plug’n’play mic setup with decent build quality and excellent performance, and at this price you can’t really ask for more.

The lavalier microphone improves everything
If you watch Ben’s Gadget Review videos, you often see this microphone transmitter on his shirt collar. If you have recorded your voice using wired earphones before, then you already know how to use this wireless microphone system. The recordings are a major upgrade and clean. The receiver uses USB-C. The receiver has a 3.5 mm. port for headphone listening. The transmitters are rechargeable. This tool is my favorite belonging.

Great product with reasonable price and also very light
When I opened the box, I was shocked how small these transmitters and receiver are. Very small and light. As a Samsung Galaxy S8 user, I need to download 3rd party video app to get better effects. I downloaded Footej Camera 2. It turns out super good voice quality. This is a great product with reasonable price, definitely recommend you to have one if you are into filming.

INSODDISFATTO

Do not buy!!!!
I have purchased this item twice now, in the hope that my first purchase was simply faulty. However, I have had the same problems with both devices: 1. Sometimes it works perfectly... 2. Most of the time, there is buzzing and the sound constantly cuts out 3. Some of the time, the entire clip is just white noise and theres nothing As you can imagine, this is incredibly frustrating and completely useless if you are trying to make videos, as you won't find out it hasn't worked until after you pull your footage off.

Easy to set up
These mics are great for a novice. I found them super simple to set up and use. The pick up is good and the tone is pretty awesome for the price point. Great for everyone from a beginner to a semi-pro.

Exactly what I was looking for
I have been looking for a while for a USB C microphone for my smartphone that sounds great and this BoomX DUC2 does the job, its able to deliver great audio quality. I did go outside to test the microphone out where the area wasn't the quietest cars passing by, but the microphone did a great job of picking up my voice very clearly. The one thing which I love about this system is that you don't really need to use the lavalier microphone because the device itself has its own microphone and it actually sounded better than using the cable lavalier microphone. This way less wires and better sounding which is amazing. I used this on my Android phone and also tested it on my PC and it works amazing there as well, and battery life is also great as well, one thing what I would do is pick up the one that included the 2 devices that way if the battery runs out you have the extra there for you.
