EGO POWER+ Cordless Electric Leaf Blower, 650 CFM, With Battery - LB6504

Used it for the 1st time today. It really blows as one expects a blower to. But it is very heavy. Luckily I bought this strap (not ego brand) from Amazon. Thank goodness I had it, so my shoulder could take a bit if the weight off my wrist. It blows leaves and puddles as expected. Once you push the turbo it really blows hard. Not much bad to say about it. It's just heavy. It charges fairly fast with the big charger it comes with. Lasts a pretty long time. Tried drying my Toyota Camry with it, after hearing ppl say that they dry cars with a blower. No way. It shifts the water from one place to another but it does not really dry it. You will still need a towel. And you will waste lots of time even TRYING to dry it with the blower. So yes that's the real deal about this machine. Powerful blower... But drying cars ? Not Unless you can stand there for an hour. Not for little old ladies or anyone the least bit weak in the arms as the battery makes this thing heavy. **Update after a few months of use** Still works very good. No issues. The turbo button truly makes it blow VERY hard. This is a solid product. Like I mentioned earlier, only downside is the weight that the batter causes it. But the battery lasts a long time so I guess that's the trade off.

This blower is amazing! I've had many, from gas to electric to another brand (18V...hint hint) and this one is the best I've ever had!! The power is awesome. I even have to be careful putting too much power in some areas or it will literally throw 2" rocks a bit away lol. But the control over how much power is easy to control giving one the ability to move about with ease for every instance needed. While a bit heavy, the battery that comes with it lasts a very long time. I used to have the 18V that worked only for about 20 minutes tops. This one I can use for the same jobs for 3 - 4 days. Battery charge time is also minimal, like 30 minutes full charge. The feature of turning the knob at various blowing levels without pulling the trigger is also very useful and awesome. On my previous (18V) blower, I always had to press the turbo button, putting strain on you forearms over time. With this one, the normal full trigger press is good enough 90% of the time. You only need the turbo for distance or a large pile of leaves or something. I say, buy it!! For sure! Lastly, I don't get anything for writing this and very rarely do, but just had to do this. Enjoy.

A friend of mine has one and recommended it to me. I have a back-pack gas unit, but no longer want to use it and the electrics I have owned left a lot to be desired in so far as battery life. It's powerful, but don't ask it to do what a gas unit can do. It will move thick, wet clumps of leaves, but it wouldn't be my choice if there was a lot of them. Like most electrics, it works best on smooth surfaces, but I did tackle the rock drive and it was fine. Don't get me wrong; this IS a powerful blower and I have no problem recommending it as all around blower and if I only had one, this would be it. The battery is the heart of this blower, but with that power comes weight. I will be getting a nice shoulder strap for it. Someone commented that it was not balanced well. I disagree. When you hold it to do work, it is tilted at exactly the angle I want to use for blowing leaves. Drying a car? I have no idea. I like the trigger for sure, but the feature I liked the most was the dial that set continuous power to whatever is needed. You can add power by pulling the trigger. I can run it for twenty minutes at maybe 30% (using the trigger sometimes) and only use about 20% of the charge. The battery is wicked big and has a charger to match; with a cooling fan no less. Charge level is indicated on the battery in 20% increments. I like it and would buy it again, but like I said, it's heavy. Hope this helps!

Prior to purchasing my Ego 650 Blower I owned an Echo gas leaf blower that I received from a friend for free since it didn't work. IhHad to invest $80 right off the bat to have it rebuilt and working well. It worked great for the entire time I owned it but after finding the Ego family of tools I decided to make the switch. This was my first purchase in the Ego family since it's a relatively low cost commitment (compared to some of the other tools) and readily available. Let me tell you what, I have loved this tool every day since I have had it! Power: Easily just as powerful as my Echo. I won't say more since it's not a dramatic difference but there are so many other reasons I love this tool over the gas alternatives that I'll talk about below. Run time: This particular model ones comes with the 5ah battery but any of the Ego batteries will work in it; 2.5ah, 7.5ah, 10ah, or the anticipated 12ah. They will all work if you want a longer run time you can get one of the larger batteries but there will be a weight difference with each of these. Larger ah = larger battery = heavier. But with regard to the 5ah, I would say typically 30-40 minutes at full throttle. There is also a TURBO button that will blow you away (pun intended) and this will reduce that run time down to about 20 minutes ish. Sound low? Realistically, I am rarely running this continuously at full throttle. You stop to pick up sticks or grab a drink or the kids jump in your pile of leaves so your 30-40 min turns into longer. Compared to my Echo, this is about the same for a tank of gas. MAYBE a little longer run time on the gas but it certainly wasn't a lot. Ease of use: Simple. No gas, no mixing, no pulling a cord, no choke, no fumes, no waiting for it to "warm up" before you get full performance. Slide your battery into the slot and hit the button. You're blowing instantly. My wife used it one time to blow some dirt out of the garage and I got a text "Why didn't you tell me this thing was so much fun!?" She's on to me! Uses: It doesn't just blow leaves. I also enjoy woodworking and this is where I use the tool the most. When building a project in my garage things tend to get dusty. I can have this on the floor and whenever I need to clean up the space after some cuts, I can do it quickly with no extra fumes or having to start it every time. I also use it to dry my truck off after I wash it. I live in Colorado and we get snow, so I've used it to clear off the driveway, stairs, porch, and vehicles (there may be some static shock with this use so heads up on that.) This will come with a basic charger that will charge your battery back to full in a few hours but if you go with some of the larger Ego products (snow blower, mower) they will come with a rapid charger that will charge the battery from dead to full in less than an hour. Amazon also has the rapid charger for purchase. This is a long way of saying this is an amazing tool and you won't regret this purchase. There is a brand new model with more power (765 CFM) but this bad boy will not disappoint.

Update: after one week of use, my first blower quit working... I returned it for a replacement blower, which I have been using for a week. So far, no issues. However, there is definitely an issue with these blowers as reviews indicate that they abruptly stop working. I will keep returning/exchanging my blower through Amazon until EGO gets the problem fixed. The reason being, I like the blower. Time will tell. **************************************************** Let me say first off that I use their lawn mower and have for the past year... and I absolutely love how it operates. I have gotten tired of the cheap 2-stroke gas blowers I was purchasing from Home Depot that would crap out in a year or less. And I have tried them all. So, I thought, what the heck. I will try EGO's electric blower. Before doing so, I read several complaints that the blower stopped working quickly after purchasing. It did not deter me. Well, I have used it a dozen times now and it worked every time and did so very well. I have two 5 amp batteries along with the rapid charger. I find that one battery with occasional turbo button usage will get me roughly 30 minutes of use. My only concern is the BIG leaf blowing jobs I do every Fall season. I will have to put the first dead battery on the charger while I use the second battery so I can extend my blowing chore. Mind you, this setup came with their regular charger, which I believe takes 3-4 hours to charge the battery. The rapid battery charger is a fraction of that time. So, keep this in mind. People who lack strength in their hands and arms would have a hard time using this without experiencing fatigue as the unit is heavy when in use because of the weight of the battery. With that said, balance is good for the most part. Power is sufficient and really good with the turbo feature. The gas blowers I have been buying ranged from $95-125. This kit cost me $325, which included tax and free Prime shipping. If it lasts for 3 years it will pay for itself. If not, at least I no longer have to mix 2-stroke oil and fuel. So that is a big plus. Overall I gave it 4 stars and it deserves that in my mind.

Let me preface this by saying I don't live in a manicured lawn area. I have an acre of heavily treed property with an older house and the lawn is mostly dirt...in Florida. Our trees drop a ton of leaves, it rains often so the leaves can be wet at times, and our concrete driveway is 100ft long with dirt/sand/ and barely lawn (we also have an uncaged pool with trees all around in the backyard). Lots of areas that need to be blown off fairly often. When I went from corded to the Greenworks 40v Blower several years ago I bought into the ecosystem. Pole saw, 16" chainsaw, hedge trimmer too. Everything still works to this day...no problems. But I just needed more from the blower. It was the best one from Greenworks at the time...165mph blah blah. When things got piled up or there was dirt or wetness involved I just might as well put it away. Or grab the rake first for the big piles and then blow the remaining dirt. I was getting frustrated after some years and I know I had outgrown the 40V blower with my needs. After tons of research I settled on this 650cfm model. I'm not rich so I have to plan and watch videos of people blowing leaves (not helpful btw) and reading tests. In the end I bit the bullet on this EGO and maybe it will be good enough to upgrade ecosystems later. Well let me tell you...this blower is ridiculously powerful. Wet or dry it moves everything away from you...far away. I used to have to get right on top of leaves sometimes where now I just aim from 10ft away and everything in my path is gone. Areas along the edge of my driveway that had caked in dirt...you can see the dirt just being dissolved into the wind. Before where I would blow leaves into a pile that eventually couldn't be moved and needed raking...the pile is blown wherever I want. It is crazy. A fully charged battery lasts at least 20-30mins...I honestly haven't blown long enough on a fully charged battery to find out. So if you are on the fence about spending this much on a blower but need more power than most consumer blowers...just get it. You won't be disappointed. I also considered Makita because I have some Makita cordless hand tools. But their blower isn't as powerful and getting into their yard tool eco system is ridiculously expensive...like a pole saw is over $700 (without battery) compared to less than half that for EGO. So I highly recommend this blower!

My family had been on me for some time to stop using my corded blower. It was definitely on its last leg, but I was able to repair and continue using because it definitely was a powerful blower. However, aside from being tethered to an outlet, it was a pain to use. My family suggested another brand, but after research, even though the other was highly rated, I decided to try the EGO brand. It was advertised at a local retailer, but they were constantly out so I checked out Amazon and found the same product, same price available on Prime, so I took the chance. This is definitely a powerful blower consistent with my experience from the corded (and gas powered) I've experienced from the past. It includes a number of really nice features: 1) similar weight to other gas and electric blowers 2) variable speed throttle 3) power burst button 4) rotary speed setting so you don't have to use the finger throttle (this is a great feature!) 5) remaining power gauge LEDs Pro: 1) definitely a lot of power and capability to blow even wet and damp leaves. 2) really nice feature set listed above! Con: 1 )I can only get about 1/2 hour of use on a full charge, even running at about 1/2 to 3/4 speed 2) not well balanced and a little difficult to hold and carry while squeezing the throttle. Not that it is particularly heavy, but its just strange to hold and pull the trigger at the same time. Follow-up: After a fall, winter and now spring usage, I'm am still very pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend this product. I do suggest if you buy one accessory, buy the shoulder strap for the reason cited above. I recently invested in one and it makes a huge difference being able to balance the load on your shoulder freeing your hand to squeeze the trigger.

Going green comes with a price. High price and not being able to finish your lawn without simply refilling a tank and instead having to wait while batteries recharge. I knew that when I bought it so I’m not complaining about that. What I will complain about however is the quality. This was given to me as a Christmas gift and I’m on my third replacement already. If you buy one trust me, it’s a matter of time before you’re just like me. It’s the same thing every time. While doing yard chores on what I thought was at least a half of a charge the blower suddenly stops. The battery light flashing red. I charge the battery, doesn’t matter how long. Could be an hour could be five could be overnight. When the battery shows that it is duly charged I plug it back in to the blower and….. NOTHING. After five uses the first one went. They replaced the entire blower. After about 7-8 uses on to the third unit. I’ve had the third unit for exactly three weeks. It’s so damned new it’s not even dusty and guess what happened?? Yep the blower stops blowing. I’ve never been told why? Never been given suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong and most concerning to me, is that I’m going on my fourth blower and no one has questioned me? No one has called me out wondering if maybe I’m pulling a scam or something. People will say I’m being cynical and maybe their customer service is that good? They are wonderful I cannot complain about that, but four blowers in eight months should raise some eyebrows? The reason it doesn’t is because it happens to most people that but these things. Most Amazon reviews are made within days of the purchase. Go online and look at reviews for this blower and you’ll see exactly what I’m saying. This blower BLOWS!!!! It’s junk don’t buy one. Eventually I’ll be out of warranty and I’ll have a wonderful piece of crap blower that doesn’t work and a huge lithium ion battery that is worse for the environment than if I ran a two stroke gas blower 24 hours a day for the next fifty years. Customer service is great. Product on the other hand BLOWS AND NOT TJE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO

The product was fine and what I initially ordered but I opted for a more powerful model. The Seller was super helpful in facilitating the refund!
