The reduction I got was more like 3-1 with dry leaves. The mulcher struggled with wetter leaves. Also agree with some previous comments about the strength of the string cords… they are thin and require frequent replacement. Wish there was a stronger option. Overall happy with its performance as it does help reduce the number of bags.

Works great for chopping Sr. Horse's hay!! If used as directed it is fabulous and the strings last a good long while (ie don't put in massive quantity all at once). A little loud, but just wear headphones to listen to music or podcast to alleviate that! We do wear a mask to protect from the resulting hay dust but.... that's hay! Love it!

We thought this would mulch up dried leaves to put in our above ground garden boxes. It is noisy, extremely dusty and does not mulch up the leaves very well. I had to wear protective goggles, 2 masks, gloves, and changed my shirt and shorts 2x's during the process. NOT what we expected nor needed. Clean-up and restorage was a struggle.

Bought it for my kids home. They have an old huge sycamore tree. It easily chips up the leaves right into a trash bag. He brings me some of the bags so I can put the mulch leaves in my flower beds for winter. Just amazing product. Going on 2 years now.

It works pretty good. It keeps up with me. I think the 11 to 1 ratio is a stretch unless you normally fluff up your leaves when you put them in the bag. Depending on the leaves I would say 6-8 to 1 ratio is more realistic. Even that's pretty good. The filter for the motor cooling air is not such a good setup. If you don't keep it clean I could see the motor failing early. Pay attention to the extension cord you use. 13 amps is a lot. Choking that down could kill a motor also.

I owned a prior hand held leaf collection and mulching system from WORX. I loved it, but it was heavy for me to lug around. When I saw this stationary version, I ordered immediately and gave the old system to my brother. I LOVE THIS NEW PRODUCT!!! So much easier on the back and arms since you do not need to carry this and hold it while it is mulching. It makes fast work of mulching huge quantities of leaves into reusable mulching materials. Highly recommend this item to anyone that needs to deal with leaves this fall and winter.

This does its job and then some. My favorite part is how many bags it saves, not just for the environmental benefit but also for the disposal of the bags. And! Less bad changing and replacing means less work. It sounds minor, but that bad changing gets annoying and it’s just psychologically tedious.
