Echo Show 8 (Sandstone) with Echo Flex

Despite the notion that "they" are listening in on all my fascinating conversations, I really do enjoy the convenience of having Alexa positioned all around my house. The sound and picture quality are both great, and the responsiveness is also great. I like being able to set all the different routines like sleep, relax, get up, what's the weather, all of that. And it's so simple and easy to set it up. Love it!!

I purchased this for my uncle, who was against having any smart devices in his home. But he has since gotten more smart plugs and devices. Alexa won him over, I have a new cousin….🤣🤣

I like just about every thing it can and will do. I especially like the pictures that it displays. It also gives one ideas of things to ask about. It's great when I don't know how to spell a word. ask and there it is spelled for you. It is always telling you things to ask it. The only thing, so far, that I dislike it that it wants me to reorder things from amazon that I previously have bought. Such as dog food. The other thing is it reminds me that a package has arrived and it tells me again and again. All and all it's well worth the money.

This was perfect when I needed to check on my elderly mother.

I purchased this for use in the kitchen, specifically to use for recipes. It was an easy set up and there is a browser built in (you have the option of Silk or Firefox). I set the screensaver to use my Amazon photos, which has been an unanticipated benefit. You can customize the settings to remove a lot of the widgets that are on by default, like suggested videos, news, weather etc.
