It actually TOASTS EVENLY!

Works well- solid purchase
I wanted a white toaster to replace one that lasted for years. I bought a highly rated cuisinart that worked once before it stopped.i thought about the Breville until i read an article that said toasters only last a few years, so you may not need to spend that much. So I ended up with this black toaster and couldn’t be more pleased. It feels more solid than the cuisinart and toasts evenly with the bottom corners slightly lighter. Toasts a piece of frozen bread or waffle well. I’ve never set it higher than 2 1/2 and that’s enough for me. The cord is shorter than most, I agree. It’s a good toaster at a good price.
