Is the game worth it? Never played paper Mario before I’m used to the other games

The other games are Platformers, this is an rpg, which is very different. If you like rpgs, and very funny dialogue, and exploration, and a bit of puzzle solving, then you'll like Origami King. It's an amazing game. If you're much more into Platformers specifically, then Super Paper Mario might be a better Paper Mario game to start with. It's more about jumping than turn based battles, but still has funny dialogue, exploration, since puzzles, and a beautiful story.

Is there a story mode ot just random battles?

It is a story. The battles are part of the game.

Is this for a switch lite?

In response to Iain Weir. Not all switch games that work in handheld work on switch lite. 1, 2, 3 Switch, Mario Party and Nintendo Labo don't work on Switch lite, basically any game that requires the joycon motion controls.

Before i open this product, will i be able to play this game in english? the game has arrived, but the box writing is in dutch.

I would return it, I have checked the box and my version is all in English. I would say send it back you have been sent a Dutch version of the game.
