Works well for fixing plastic items
I've used this J-B Weld PlasticWeld epoxy putty a few times around the house, and it holds up pretty nicely. it's handy for repairing my plastic garden tools and small cracks in the kayak. the application is easy, and it dries pretty quickly. glad i have it in my toolbox for quick fixes during projects or while camping ๐ ๏ธ. definitely a good addition to my repair supplies!

Worked for most of my needs, but cracked in higher stress area
used this to repair various broken tabs on my bodywork. Has help up great on the front fender and windscreen which are both relatively low stress areas. It cracked after one race weekend on my tail section that is much higher stress and vibration and apparently needs to be more flexible. For my tail section I wound up using long glass bondo hair and some fabric scraps which did the trick. It's really tacky and starts sticking to your gloves immediately so sort of hard to make anything thin. You'll want to just go on the thicker side and Dremel it down afterward.

Came in clutch for a failed print
Had a very large, multi-day 3d print fail on me. I was able to print the missing portion but needed to bond the two areas together. because of the large area I needed something with decent working time that would hold over a surprisingly small actual contact area. This was exactly what I needed. so pros: 1) allowed me to fill in the infill at the contact area to create more surface area for the bond. 2) easy to work with after i got a method down (I recommend a test round on something if it's your first time using it before moving onto your project so you get a feel for it) 3) shapeable both during application and after to help smooth out the shame of your failures 4) surprisingly strong. I needed the bond to hold about a kilo of weight, and after some testing that appears to be more than easy for this. 5) probably the longest working time out of the alternatives for what I was trying to do. (i.e. CA glue, plastic cement... etc) Cons: 1) just a touch less working time then I would have hoped for. it said 25 minutes, but started to get hard to work with around 15 minutes. Again, WAY more than my other options, but it did lead to extra post processing work I would have liked to avoid. 2) it's a touch harder once cured than the plastic around it, so when sanding it I was tending to take away more of the base material than than the epoxy, but i sort of expected this going into it. Until I find a better option for this specific use case, this will remain my top choice.

its sticky messy and hard to work with with but it works
I'm this to seal gaps on a 3D print. Material is PLA so adhesion isn't an issue and I can paint over it just fine. I haven't had to worry about chipping as I sand to down pretty good. Thats about all the good things I have to say about this product. My major gripes are it's sticky, messy, and hard to work with. You can't wear gloves when working with this because it sticks to the gloves. It's messy because it sticks to your hands (and gloves) and leaves a white residue on both your hands and the surface I'm working on which makes clean and precise application impossible. Because it's so sticky you can't get just the right amount for what you need either. It dries out fairly fast so you can't sit there and play with it because it's sticky so you have to work fast. After the product dries it dries very well. So well in fact it makes post processing 3D prints an actual headache if you used too much putty. It's almost impossible to not use too much putty because it's so sticky, dries so fast, and is in general hard to work. Have I mentioned how sticky this product is yet? Like I said it does the job but I would not recommend using this for smaller gaps or dips you need to patch. This is better saved for bigger jobs.

Flower pot functional again!
I accidentally pushed a bamboo pole through the side of a very large 20โ resin flower pot. I was not about to replace it considering the cost was going to be over $50. I looked around and came across this JB Weld for plastic. Iโd heard about JB Weld from my husband and sons for years but not anything specific so I decided on this product in particular because of what they said. Theyโre all handy and are willing to fix anything before buying new so I figured I might as well give it a try. The main break in the pot was about 10โ long and jagged with another 5โ break coming off of the main break. I completely rough sanded the interior of the pot so the weld would have a rough area to attach to on both sides of the break. I followed the directions and completely mixed the substance together wearing rubber gloves. I rolled it out like Plato like I did with my kids. I placed it on the crack and pushed and feathered it out about an inch in total across. I repeated the same on the attached jagged crack. I put it out in the sun and the next day went back to find a completely hardened surface and the crack on the outside barely distinguishable. I then sanded the entire outside of the pot and spray painted it. It looks brand new almost. The former break can be seen a bit but all I have to do is turn that part toward the wall. I admit I used the entire amount and I probably put it on thicker than it needed to be but considering the total opening was almost 15โ I believe it to be the right amount. I will definitely be purchasing more and keeping it on hand!
