I really enjoyed this guitar
I really enjoyed this guitar. Used it for about a month straight with no issues. Great for practice however the pickups seem to be of low quality and are no longer working properly.edit: looks like i just had to replace the battery, whoops! this is an amazing guitar to practice on especially for the price. would recommend.

This product is poorly constructed and starts breaking down after a few months.
This product was a waste of money and a piece of garbage. It starts having issues within 3 months, parts of it stop working correctly and they don't offer any type of return. It is a piece of garbage.

Takes some getting used to
I wasn't real happy at first. The strings were too high off the fingerboard and the sound through the earphones was terrible. Also, the guitar doesn't easily rest on your leg like a classical guitar - it is narrower, heavier, and slick and tends to slide off. I took it to a music store and had the strings lowered a bit. I don't have a guitar amp, but I plugged it into another amp I have and it sounds much better than the earphones (although I think it sounds a lot more like an electric guitar than a classical one). I bought a neck strap to keep it from slipping off my leg. It just feels different from a classical guitar and I had some trouble playing it at first, but after some practice I'm starting to like it more and for the price it can't be beat.Update: Sound was getting distorted when playing at anything louder than a very quiet level. Thought the guitar was defective, but tried changing the battery and the problem went away. Guess that's the sign of a low battery. I bought a Roland cube amp to use with it and it works well although it still sounds more like an electric guitar than a classical guitar. I'm still bothered by the strings being a bit high. Playing a barred F chord in first position is difficult.Second update: I'd been getting frustrated with the high action on the strings which makes playing more difficult than with my real classical guitar. Also, I realized that the way the instrument sits on my leg in standard playing position, it is several inches to the left of the real guitar causing the neck to extend further. This makes playing while reading music more difficult since I'm not watching where my hand is and i frequently find I'm not in the right place. And the sound when playing through an amp really isn't that good.I recently found a Yamaha SLG200NW in a local store and decided to try it out. I ended up buying it. It looks similar to the Sojing and is considerably more expensive but is a far superior guitar. If feels like my classical guitar when I play it (although it is thinner), does not slip off my leg (so a strap isn't necessary) and the sound is far superior when plugged into an amp.

Not all it should be
I bought this guitar to play late at night when everyone else is sleeping. For that purpose it will be fine. I took it to rehearsal one night just to see how it played through an amp. The first string has a pretty significant rattle in it when playing a D chord. Everything else seems fine. If I play most any other chord there isn't a problem. I have it two stars because it meets my needs but is not all it could be.A year later, I rarely play this guitar. In fact, I don't remember when I last played it. Don't waste your money. If you want this to be an electric classical you can't count on it having a decent sound. Save your money until you can afford a Yamaha. If you just wanted something to play quietly, the adapter that lets you plug headphones into an electric is cheaper and works better. The only reason I haven't put this in a garage sale is it is a cool guitar to look at and generates some good conversation which is the only reason it gets two stars from me.

I'd give it a Flamenco "Ole!" if it hadn't arrived damaged.
The guitar is a good instrument for silent practice purposes and a good alternative the more expensive Yamaha. The electronics are not spectacular but more than decent for practicing acoustic and there is another review that you can read here that describes how you can improve the electronics with a few accessories. I am currently trying to resolve the fact that it arrived damaged, but am hoping to get a replacement. It comes with earbuds and an amp cable. The damage I received reveals that at least some parts of the sides appear to be plywood. The packaging is minimal for a guitar and may have contributed to the damage. When I get a replacement I will be adjusting the string height; Its not bad right now, but a little higher than I prefer. I'll also get the accessories to make the electronics more friendly. If you're looking for an instrument you can use to really ramp up your playing time without disturbing others at an affordable price, this is it. If the manufacturer could just step up inspection and packaging this could really be a hit with classical/flamenco students and hobbyists.
