This is the famous "butter comb," and it absolutely lives up to the hype. It glides through my dog's coat like butter, finding tangles I didn't even know were there. I had almost given up. My cat has long fur with a THICK undercoat which I was not prepared to handle. I've tried a few different brushes, many marketed for thick undercoats, trying to get her coat under control but she either hated them, refusing to be brushed, or they didnt do anything. I wasn't expecting much from this brush tbh just looked like a metal comb i didnt think would do anything but wow it really worked! Her fur feels soft and looks great with no mats in sight. She also doesnt run away from this brush like she did others, its gentle enough that shes willing to put up with it while aggressive enough to really make a difference. Seemed expensive but worth every penny. Quality construction, should last a lifetime. All cats are different but if your in a similar situation i would 100% suggest giving this one a try

Best comb! This is my last step when combing and brushing out my doodle and before bathing and clipping. This comb is high quality and works great for getting stubborn knots or mats that a slicker brush can't tackle. When using before bathing, ensures he's not going to get mats or tangles. I know the clippers will glide through the coat once I can get the fine end through his fur.

Chris Christensen dog grooming tools are not cheap, but they are good quality. Very durable.

I’m a lifelong Poodle owner. And I had a Groomer that once said you can judge good grooming job by the comb you can put through the coat. If you can’t come through the coat, the dog hasn’t been brushed properly. This comb is excellent for breaking out tangles, it has a fine side and a wide tooth side. Each one does different types of combing from feathering the hair to . It’s really good quality steel And I anticipated holding up for years to come. Whether a professional groomer or just a hobby is who likes to groom their dog this is a great grooming tool for your pet. but it’s particularly good on poodles, doodles and golden retrievers. It’s large as a comb about 10 inches. I bought it with the Christiansen brush also an excellent product. If you do buy them buy them together because they’re complete as a set and they’ll do all the grooming you need for your pet. But look at the videos, they’ll really teach you a lot and the right way to use these tools like the right tools to make.

I misplaced my very old cat comb and needed a replacement. I couldn't imagine how the Chris Christenson one could be any different from the $7.00 ones that appeared in my search, so I bought the $7.00 one. It looked the same, but was useless. It sort of just skimmed the surface of my cat's fur. I returned it for this one, and it is night and day. The Chris Christensen works better than my old one. Don't bother going cheap. You're just wasting your time. This thing is the real deal.

We have an eleven month old Shih Tzu that weighs ten pounds and has a very thick coat. The large comb works great on her thick coat and the small comb is perfect for her little face and delicate areas. It’s like having two combs in one and I use them all. I would definitely recommend. They’re expensive but work very well and should last for years.

Personally I thought this was expensive but we just got a Maine Coon kitten and the breeder swore it was worth it. I did not listen and after several other combs and brushes I gave in and bought it. I should have listened the first time. With his long thick hair, we have to comb daily, depending on the day sometimes twice, this comb has been amazing and so worth the money.

This comb looks and feels well built! It’s easy to use and my cat enjoys it. However on the second or third day, I noticed the coating cracks at the base of the teeth where it meets the spine. I didn’t drop or scratch it and I’m not too sure if it came in like this. For items at this price point, I can’t accept the quality standard and for that reason I’m returning the order.
