Is the size measured from the fabric or the D-rings?

Measurements are taken from D-ring to D-ring. Edges are curved to enhance tension, so the shade area is slightly smaller. We recommend leaving 1.5-2ft between the D-ring and fixing point for hardware.

Is it 100% waterproof and how do I prevent pooling?

Yes, the PU-coated 160GSM polyester is water-resistant. Install at a 20-40 degree angle to ensure runoff. During heavy rain, manual drainage or temporary removal is advised to prevent water accumulation.

What is included? Does it come with a fixing kit?

Includes 1 x Shade Sail and 4 x 1.5m Ropes. Stainless steel hardware kits (turnbuckles/hooks) are sold separately, as different surfaces (brick/wood/poles) require specific types of fixings.

Does this sail provide privacy and UV protection?

Yes! It blocks 98% of UV rays and provides high-density opacity to block overlooking views from neighbours. Ideal for creating a private sanctuary in your garden or over a hot tub.

Can I leave it up all year? How do I clean it?

Remove during extreme winds, snow, or winter to extend its life. Clean with water/mild detergent. Do not machine wash or use stiff brushes, as this may damage the PU coating and UV treatment.
