These work GREAT!!!
The trick to getting these to work best is to trim the wick right away. They come a little rough and frayed sometimes. You want the striker to stick out above the wick just a touch so the copper wires don't accidentally interfere with contact between the striker and the ferro rod (striker surface). If you use name brand ZIPPO lighter fluid you'll have great luck with ignition. It's more volatile than normal lighter fluid and does not smell as much. It's very nice in those regards. The only downside is that it can evaporate more quickly. But ZIPPO fluid is cheap. I recommend these permanent matches. They are WONDERFUL. Especially if you do those little things to optimize their functionality.

A great fire starter!
Bought as a gift for my uncle, thought he could use it for camping. He gave me the second one to have for myself. Brought it to work, showed one of my mangers. Manger proceeded to play with it. Spilt some of the fluid on his hand and crotch. Still lit the firestarter, proceeded to catch his hand on fire and his crotch all while I stand in a corner freaking out. He puts out the fire and was completely okay. Every coworker than teases me for setting my manager on fire.I now have a great story to tell to my future employers, and a Firestarter I have no use for. But hey it works and it's still great. Moral of the story, don't let your manager play with fire after they spill lighter fluid on themselves.

Boyfriend loves it
I ordered this for my boyfriend since he’s a huge fan of novelty items and he loves it. It works well, usually takes a few strikes to get a flame going but it’s great quality. The lighter fluid needed for it is very inexpensive. It’s aesthetically pleasing and kinda fun to use to light candles and stuff even if it’s unnecessary. However, I will warn you the flame is very large for such a tiny match, so be careful using it in small spaces or close to your face!

Mixed Bag - UPDATED
The seller reached out after reading my review and sent a replacement match stick which seems to have a more evenly-seated wick. Haven't had a chance to take it camping yet, but it worked like a charm lighting a recent backyard bonfire. Thank you!Got a 2 pack so I could gift one to my husband. One turned out to be reliable, the other not so much. Unfortunately, I took the (unknowningly) reliable one on a group car campout, where there were lots of other people and options if it failed. It didn't! It worked well, so I happily gave the other one to my husband to take on a kayaking wilderness campout with my teenage daughter. Unfortunately, the second one was unreliable, and they had no other people or other options along the river. Since returns are all or nothing, I guess I am stuck with the unreliable one. Paid for two; wish I got two that worked. I will update feedback if the seller makes it right.

Great gift!
Didn't realize you need lighter fluid with this. But my dad absolutely loved it.

Sticker design, hard light, bent striker
So cheaply made. Very hard to light, the flint sucks. The flame is too high and the metal heat up as well. It bent alittle on the 5th or 6th strike. Its not metal engraved its just a cloth sticker that came off the first time I used it just now. Don't buy this crap! I can see someone getting hurt from this thing.Update. I just tried it again and 1 it didn't light and 2 it flicked a bunch of lighter fluid on my leg.

Decent little matches!!!
These work well. I filled one and let it hang for six months… It was still full and lit on the first strike. BUT… when I filled the other one, it leaked out of the plastic bottom. I ended putting some thread tape on both and they have been fine ever since. I wish they had used a metal bottom, but otherwise I love them, they work well, and look pretty dang cool to me.

Doesn’t light
Lots of sparks. But after trying several times for over 20 mins each, never got them to light a flame…
