I had a great experience with the Arlo Pro 3 Wireless LED Floodlight Security Camera. The video quality is very clear, and the floodlight is extremely bright, which makes a big difference at night. ****updated Nov 1, 2020**** Poor support. I submitted a request for support through the Arlo app TWO WEEKS AGO and have not received a response. Unacceptable. Lowering to one star and I unfortunately I cannot recommend this item anymore after connection issues despite a very strong wifi network, and non-existent support. ***updated oct 2020***** When the camera is working, it's 5/5 stars. Clear picture, good notifications. But I've had intermittent connection issues over the first month I've had it. It will inexplicably lose connection from the wifi network for hours or even a day, and then suddenly reconnect, despite having a "strong" wifi connection according to the Arlo app. Annoyingly, I don't get a notification when it has disconnected. When I stand next to the device I get 400-500mbps on my phone (gigabit internet), so signal strength should not be an issue. Still, the camera will randomly disconnect or at least show as disconnected in the app. I've also noticed that it will occassionally miss obvious motion events (like my car pulling into the driveway and me bringing groceries in) without ever registering a motion event. I'm assuming this is a time when it has disconnected but since I don't get a disconnect notification I have no idea. So when the camera works, it's great. But the connection issues are a concern. I was planning on getting more Arlo cameras but I've paused that for now. ******End update I got this for my driveway since I was in need of both a Floodlight and camera. Installation was very easy and the device connected quickly to my wifi network. I'm happy with the 2k video quality, it's nice and clear. The app is pretty easy to use. The light is very bright although it does seem to take a second or two longer to recognize motion and turn on than a standard floodlight. One thing I'm always concerned about with these battery cameras is recording delay and notification delay. The recording delay seems to be 2 or 3 seconds from the time the camera detects motion before it will record. From a home security standpoint, that can be important. This can be eliminated if you attach a charging cable (sold separately) to the unit, then it will use what Arlo calls "foresight" and automatically record the 3 seconds before the camera detects motion. After playing around with this camera, I think it will be necessary for me to get the cable since I don't want to miss anything. I've had a few hiccups with getting timely notifications on my phone. A few times there was a 10 minute delay, but most other occasions I've gotten notifications in 4 or 5 seconds. Also, the battery has gone down about 25% in 4 days of use. I have been using it a lot since I've been messing with the settings, but at this rate the battery barely lasts 2 weeks. Getting the charging cable will also take care of this issue, so I'm not too worried. My biggest overall impression of my first Arlo device is that it's a good camera on battery only, but has the potential to be a great camera with attached power (AC or solar, both sold separately), since the power eliminates most of my complaints.

Absolutely love this camera. I bought it on prime day and it was about half off. It is pretty easy to set up and install, has great video quality during day or night, and has a lot of customization on the what motion will trigger it. I live in a busy street and am able to create zones to prevent it from detecting motion every time a car drives by. The floodlight is insanely bright and it has a dusk to dawn feature to prevent it from turning the light on during the day. The battery lasts about 3 months and charges pretty quickly. I had a masked person walk up to my house recently in the middle of the night. The camera sensed the motion and sent an alert to my phone immediately. It also spot lighted them, which deterred them from trying to break in. I wish it hadn’t happened at all, but it’s terrifying to think of what might have happened if I didn’t have the camera, or if I had a camera that didn’t light up when it saw motion. I’ll be buying another one for my back door now. You do have to have an Arlo subscription for it to save video clips, but it’s very inexpensive. I think for a single camera, it’s like $2 a month and it’s around $10 a month for unlimited cameras. You get a free trial period when you first get the camera, but in my opinion it’s worth the few dollars for the extra features. It’s worth noting that the camera still works without the subscription, it just lacks some of the features that you would want out of a smart security camera.

I have two of these installed, one on each end of my house, and I have been using them for over a year. They have been very reliable. The floodlights are bright and provide more than enough light. The viewing angle is excellent, and the video quality is very sharp with good resolution. Installation was straightforward, and setup was easy. The only real downside is battery access. You need to be mindful during installation that you will occasionally have to take them down to recharge. One of mine is easy to reach from a window, while the other requires a ladder. You can avoid this by hardwiring them or adding a solar charger, but since I only recharge them a few times a year, it has been a minor inconvenience for me. Overall, they have worked exactly as expected and I am very happy with them.

I was surprised by the quality and I fully recommend Arlo cameras; they are undoubtedly the best I've ever used.

best price - awesome product but you will need to buy out door charger - 25 ft about $60.00 pricy . look for wasserstein charger much cheaper - works on Arlo . outdoor camera . Bought from Best Buy market Place . Please read review before buying - the first time I was screwed . Sent me wrong one and would't replace it .

Keeps failing and going offline. At this price was expecting more.

I bought this Arlo pro 3 flood light camera almost 1.5 years ago (in June 2021, it is now january 2023). In that time I have barely used the camera and have charged it less than 5 times. The last time I used it was months ago and the need arose to use it again now. I plug the camera in to charge and it does not charge. I try multiple cables and power blocks and different outlets. The LED doesn't light up indicating that there's no charge. So I contact customer support, they run me through all thr basic troubleshooting of pulling out the battery and putting it back in and trying the charging ohtbwith different cables and outlets and pressing the reset button, nothing works. Then they ask to see a copy of the receipt, I bought this from Amazon US but it was shipped to me in Singapore, they said because I am in Singapore they can no longer proceed with further support. So they won't give me a warranty replacement because I am outside of the US. So BEWARE!! NO WARRANTY SUPPORT IF YOU RESIDE OUTSIDE OF U.S. and if you check online you can see that this issue of non-charging is quite common across their various camera products. Don't even get me stated on the subscription service model that they have to keep on charging you fees after you have dished out hundreds to buy the camera.

Sleek design. Love the combo of floodlight, camera, speaker and alarm. This is pricey but considering all it does, it is worth it. The light is surprisingly bright. Excellent easily positioned ball mount. Smart alert is good so you won't be waken at night but a stray cat. I have used Arlo for many years and find it to be reliable, innovative and exceptional. Go for 2K or 4K if you want to monitor anything at a distance, Front yard, driveway.
