Wilson 2016 A2K Brandon Phillips Game Model Baseball Glove, Black Textured/Red/Blonde, Right Hand Throw

Without a doubt the best glove out there. The black/blonde/red look is visually striking and I am always getting comments about how cool the glove looks. Personally I like the 2016 colour scheme better than the 2017 one. It's also about $100 cheaper!You will notice in my photos that the Brandon Phillips silhouette on the back side is coloured in gold, which is different from the official Amazon photo. That was a nice surprise - it looks great!Like all quality leather gloves it is very stiff to begin with. I followed Wilson's glove master Aso's YouTube videos to break in with a cup of warm water and the Mizuno ball glove shaping mallet (also purchased on Amazon). After a few weeks of playing catch it's nice and soft.I did wipe a very small amount of the Wilson Pro Stock Glove Conditioner over it with a terry towel. Quite a bit of colouring came off on the towel, so be careful if you do that not to smudge black or red onto the blonde areas if you use that product.

Absolutely everything my son wanted from the look, the quality of the leather, to the color scheme. We only buy Wilson gloves and the A2K is the top of the line. A little harder to break in than his A1K but this glove is a show stopper and has more padding in the palm than his DPA1K (also bigger 11.5 vs 11.25). Perfect glove for a middle infielder and will last for years and years. Again, been trying to break this in WITHOUT oil or steam, just using the HOTGLOVE wrap and playing catch...It's been 5 weeks and still working on it. Should be good to go in a few more weeks, comes very stiff like all Wilson A1K gloves.It has "Dragon Scales" on the back that are real top grain leather. Colors are incredible with a red palm and the pocket is already formed from Wilson.

My son absolutely loves this glove! It has been 6 weeks since we received the glove and so far it is holding up quiet well and doesn't seem to be completely broken in which is a first. It usually only takes my son a good week to break in a glove. This is his 7th glove in 18 months. All of his prior gloves were $60 - $100 gloves and literally fell apart from use. We've done the research and this is the first glove that we've invested in that we feel might hold up longer than one season. My son and my husband practice daily. The glove is made well and offers a lot of padding and protection. I will review again in 6 months
