Permatex 27100 HIgh Strength Treadlocker is jus that - strong!!!
This product states that it will require heating up the parts secured with this threadlocker to 500 degrees in order to separate the parts after the threadlocker cures, so you really need to be sure this is what you want it to do. It was exactly what I was hoping for, and it worked flawlessly by holding a barrel nut in the handle of my Colt 45 that had a screw that would not separate from the barrel nut. I put the threadlocker on the barrel nut, attached it to my Colt, and the next day - today, I was able to get the screw out of the barrel nut, but it took some force to get it to break free. The barrel nut did not budge at all, so kudos to Permatex!

It applied easily and seem to work well
I needed a threadlock for a couple of small set screws going into aluminum on a mower cylinder head. This went one easily and dried well. I did not try to remove the small set screw after it dried because it is something that will never need to be removed,, so I cannot say how tightly it locked the set screw in place.A little bit goes a long way, so the small tube will last me pretty much forever.

That’s one tough nut
No matter how hard I try, I can’t turn that nut

red thread lock not as strong as advertised but, may just be strong enough for my project.
maybe have to bake this stuff to get it to really adhere as strong as suggested. that said, it does hold pretty well. I used to hold button head bolts into threaded hex connectors. Those went over studs in heads to hold valve covers on. Makes for a nice clean look that no one else has. Until now anyway. I was able to lightly torque my creation down ( does not take much on valve covers ) and then remove them as well. SO far the Red Thread lock is holding well. To Test strength of the Red Permatex, I used a 10mm wrench on the hex and an Allen wrench in the button head bolt. No heat and just one grunt , was able to easy enough get parts apart. BUT, appears to be doing what I wanted it to do. Proof in a few months, when I have to remove the valve covers to adjust the valves. fingers crossed. ha ha

So far so good
Just put some spacers on the Jeep and used this for some piece of mind. It’s been about a week and I re-torqued the nuts on the spacers they didn’t budge and all of them were perfect where I torqued them when I first put them on. If anything bad happens I’ll update this but it seems to be quite perfect to me. Please click helpful if you found this review of any help it would mean a lot.

Make sure you shake it first
normally I use the blue thread locker for everything. I used the blue to hold a compensator on gun which had to be a specific orientation. After a couple hundred rounds it started to twist. This is when I looked in to how thread lockers work and more importantly that you loosen bolts and such by applying heat. Guess what happens to a compensator when you fire it? Yup.Bought this and for whatever reason thought it's in a tube I don't need to shake it like the blue stuff. Took to range next day and started to turn almost immediately. Realizing the err or my ways I shook it and applied again. It hasn't budged sinceOne downside to this setup is to completely remove barrel requires to unscrew compensator. So at some point I'm going to have to be able to do that. I'm using a bore snake to clean barrel without removing it but at some point I'll try and heat it up with a heatgun and see if it nudges. I'll update this if I remember.

Excelente pegamento.
