Made in china? Why would i buy it?

I don't know what motivates you to buy things.

Anyone find a good sheath for this? The stock one is ridiculously impossible to remove the blade from in the field.

Best case scenario is you make your own scabbard for it. I only button the top button on the sheathe. That way you can flip it open and then pull it straight out like a regular machete.

Can I saw wood with the serrated side?

Not very efficiently, the saw is unsharpened.
