Glad I took a punt on this after reading some reviews. I actually really only needed a decent blade for box cutting but thought I’d get something sturdier just in case I ever need it and I’m glad I did. The included blade is razor sharp and has no trouble gliding through thick cardboard like butter, with very little effort. It’s compact enough to pocket if you’re working, and light in the hand without compromising on build quality thanks to the metal grip. It’s also not remotely bulky either. The blade locks in place when open, which is easily done by pressing the release and flicking the wrist, and when you’re done it sits flush and locked inside the handle, so it feels nice and safe too. The only real drawback for me is that it didn’t include any extra blades for the future, but otherwise this is an absolutely perfect knife that should last a good while and handle a good range of tough jobs. Side note for UK buyers: because of the locking mechanism there are legal restrictions in place if you’re ever carrying this outside the home without good reason, so do bare that in mind!

Handy pocket knife, and prefer it to my standard Stanley knife. Easy to use and nice to handle used to cut insulation board ready for our laminate to go down. Quick and easy to replace the blade out as well unlike a Stanley knife.

I've bought a few of these now. Great quality. Sharp, Take a standard utility blade. Are solid and tight - there's no wobble in them And the best bit - They are one handed operation- you can flick the blade in and out whilst holding something in your other hand and something else in your mouth.

I do reviews very rarely, but this knife is definitely worth it. First thing it has fantastic built quality. All is made from aluminium and it’s quite heavy in the hand which impersonally like. Heavy meaning not lead have but does not feel like a toy comparing to plastic knives. Secondly - opening action with one hand and also closing with one hand with locking mechanism is fantastic. It’s really well thought and the blade is not rattling or something. Th cherry on the cake, from my perspective warehouse worker, is that it turns into a safety strap cutter knife when it’s closed. Really cool invention. The only thing which someone may not like is that it doesn’t have a space for spare blades. For me it’s not a problem at all, hence i gave all 5 stars. On top of that, the ergonomics is really good. The blade release button is exactly where it needs to be and the handle is really comfortable to hold. I don’t use pocket clips, but it’s there in case you need it. High quality, well designed tool.

Nice sturdy, comfortable quality knife, which flicks out smoothly for operation with one hand, and folds to a compact size (not bulky). unfortunately, the manner in which it flicks out renders it right handed, as you would use your thumb to press the button. which (for someone left handed) makes it awkward to close again when you want to put it down, as the blade doesn't retract. the slender design although convenient and comfortable comes at a cost, as there's no space for even one spare blade. Love it though.

I bought this mainly to use on cardboard - Cutting up large boxes, so thy fit into the recycling bag etc... If you need a box opener, or work in a warehouse, this my be a perfect knife for you... In the tail, there is a slot that reaches to the blade edge when closed. Poly strapping or string taken care of. The main feature - the common craft knife (Stanley) blade is held in a carrier that opens upon pressing a side button - You must press the button, it's locked closed otherwise. Upon pressing the release button, the blade carrier will swing open if the knife is pointed downwards, and locks open. Strong construction, Zinc alloy handle will be more than adequately strong... The design and function of the release mechanism makes sense for one hand opening. Blade change is at the touch of a button, no tools required.~ Recommended - Definitely. If you think you might need one of these, then you do.
