8Bitdo Zero 2 Bluetooth Key Chain Sized Mini Controller for Nintendo Switch, Windows, Android and macOS (Pink Edition)

I bought a pink and a turquoise mini controllers for my two elementary kids as Easter basket gifts. I thought they were pretty adorable and looked like little eggs. I love 8Bitdo products, and these are no different. The build quality is solid, they're so lightweight they're nearly weightless, and they work well in my kids' small hands. They're even comfortable for my much larger adult hands. I bought them for my kids to use with their laptops, but I was thrilled to see that even though the instructions don't document it, they work with iPads. I went through the same process to sync to bluetooth as outlined in the Windows and Android instructions. The controllers showed up in the bluetooth list as Pro Controller. They synced flawlessly without any issues. In addition to being easy to pair, they're surprisingly adept for such small scale controllers. The buttons and d-pad are highly responsive. This is another nifty product from 8Bitdo!

Ordered this for my toddler to play old Mario games on our Nintendo Switch with Nintendo Online. Thought it might be easier than the switch controllers and the size would make it easier for him to hang on to. It connected to the Switch with no issues and worked fine. I did have to keep the real Switch controller close to navigate certain menus and use buttons this controller doesn’t have. Only other downside I’ve noticed is I do have to connect it to the Switch manually each time I want to use it. Doesn’t seem to remember or auto connect. Just wanted to leave a review that it does connect and work with Switch since it seems most reviewers are using this as a slideshow clicker. It is very small, but that is what it’s supposed to be!

If you are a pre-med, medical student, or anyone who wants to do anki but faster, this is the purchase for you. I had bought this and let me tell you, my productivity has gone way up. There is one caveat. It took me some time to set up, watched a couple yt videos, and put some add ons to anki to make it so I can bind certain actions to buttons. But once you get through the initial set up phase, it’s amazing to use. It’s light weight, comfy to hold, comes fully charged and charges with a type C cable. It came true to color and has lasted pretty long while being good value for money.

Worked well with my devices:laptop and emulation handheld. My thumb will cramp when using the B and Y button simultaneously, but for 90% my case use it's great. Very light and easy to store. Wired mode worked fine too

Great for anki and cheaper than the other popular anki remote. Set up is simply downloading an add-on on anki and binding the controls correctly. It takes about 10 minutes to set up.

I bought this to use with a Kobo Libra Color as a remote. Kobo does have its own remote, but this is less expensive and has more buttons to map. I used the 8bitdo app to map the forward and back buttons in Kobo’s reading software Nickel. To pair the controller as a remote, I put it in keyboard mode. Everything worked seamlessly. However, I use Koreader more than I use Nickel. I was able to map the buttons easily directly in Koreader by using the Kobo plugin. I now have buttons set up to go forward and back, to open the library, to adjust the brightness, to turn on night mode, and to disconnect Bluetooth. I wondered before buying this if I really needed a remote to turn the pages. After all, Kobo has page turn buttons right there. After thinking about it for months, I decided to buy it and I could return it if I didn’t use it. After only one day, you’re going to have to pry this out of my cold, dead hands. I absolutely need a remote. If you’re on the fence, I absolutely recommend it. This is perfect for small hands, it’s cute, and it took less than 5 minutes to download the app, map the buttons for Nickel, connect it in Nickel, connect it in Koreader, and map the buttons in Koreader.

Had great use for about half a year. Would use it to crank out flashcards on Anki while I was on the go. That was until it stopped charging and refused to turn on, no matter how long I left it plugged in (even after trying different chargers). Kind of disappointed since it worked really really well and was cheaper than buying the AnkiRemote.

Amazing for anki review! Connects seamlessly! Once you set it up, all you have to do is turn it on and its immediately connected. Customization within the anki platform allows reviews to be tailored to your type of deck and needs while reviewing. Battery lasts several days, at least with my card load (3-4 hrs review/day). Highly recommend for people studying anything with anki especially high volume. Response is immediate and makes review sooo much faster. I like to screen share my computer to my tv and sit with my remote. Makes reviewing much more comfortable than trying to use a keyboard with the keys that are useful being spread out. Its a must have for MCAT/Med school reviews.

Great for Anki on my iPad. The d pad works as an analog stick so it can’t be mapped but can be used to scroll. All other buttons can be mapped as expected. I hold it vertically in my right hand.

Great little (it is tiny) controller. Bought to play games on Chrome cast with Google TV and works great.
