Secret Weapon for my Hair
I haven’t set foot in a salon since I started using this hair frosting kit, and it’s been over two years now. I’m genuinely obsessed with how well it works. My husband helps pull my hair through the cap, I mix the solution, apply the paste, cover with the included plastic wrap, and blow‑dry for about five minutes on medium heat. After letting it sit for another twenty minutes, my very dark hair lifts to a bright, summery blond every single time. The color is consistent, never brassy, and the toner is the secret weapon—apply it after washing and leave it on overnight for that perfect, non‑brassy blond. I get compliments constantly. It’s reliable, easy to use, and I always keep an extra box on hand because I never want to be without it.

Great Highlights!
I used the small hook and pulled. tiny strands through all of the holes to get the 'baby light" look- I had to leave it on for a full hour-don't wash it out too soon, or it will be brassy (my hair is naturally about a level 6), and it took a long time to pull out all of the little hairs, but it came out really well. I can't afford $300+ every 3 months anymore- this is also great for in between professional 'modern blondings'. If you want FULL highlights in the back, you might need to have a friend pull some holes in the back- I could get the top layer of the back from the back crown, so it still blends. This kit is much better than the Revlon kit; it's worth the extra ~$5.

Full kit that lasts more than one time.
Very comprehensive product. I kept thinking how more items come in this box. I applied and it was so easy. Thick paste and no drips. I decided not to use caps they are too difficult. Lightening still lasted three months in considering another touch up. Saved excess in a ziplock bag for another time. Will reconstitute with water.

Does the Job
This stuff worked well, but the toning rinse is NOT good. Zero difference after using it. I ended up mixing 20 volume with T14 to achieve my desired look after I rinsed out the bleach. MUCH better result. Overall, I’d say this product is worth it because it’s pretty straightforward and you get all the necessary tools. Just spend an extra $20 at Sally’s for a proper toning mix. In total, I spent $35 for a bunch of face framing highlights. I would’ve spent closer to $200-$250 at a salon. Yes, I know this isn’t salon-quality, but as a mom of two littles under the age of 3 with no time to spare, this did the job. 🤷♀️

Easy to use
The color of this product is beautiful. I have dark brown hair and this gives me perfect blonde highlights. The longer you leave it on the lighter the hair gets. I always leave it on for the max time. Super easy to use, my husband does my hair for me. Make sure u pull the strands all the way through the cap so your hair doesn't look blotchy. The quality of this product is better than any I've ever used. I use to buy this in store but now you can only get it online from Amazon! The texture isn't gritty and its easier to mix than you may think. Will always buy this brand and product. Make sure to follow the directions on the box and you will habe no problem. Just remember to allow yourself up to 2 hours. This is from start to finish. It does take time to get the hair pulled through the cap. I use every other hoke. Covers gray too which is a major plus for me!

I love this highlight kit
If this product is ever discontinued I will cry! I can get salon quality highlights with this boxed kit. It saved me 200 dollars every time I used it. With a good toner and a couple hours of my time I look amazing. My hair is naturally dark and this color doesn't turn my hair orange.

Difficult to do by yourself
The things women do for beauty. I remember this kit from thh 90's, I can't believe they still sell this exactly the same way. With the same exact girl on the cover. Why not update the picture? If you buy this, don't trust the cap. You need to poke hole in it first and the best the thing to use is a toothpick or a seam ripper. Its true, if you have dark hair, the highlights won't be as light, but its still turns out nice because it looks more natural, not like a streaky skunk like the lady in the cover. If you have short hair, you will have a lot of leftover. I will warn you now, if you plan on doing all over highlights, you should get a friend to help you because it requires octopus hands and an owl neck to turn around and pull the hair out. I did it by myself and I had to take neck breaks because it hurt. And my eyes were hurting as well because I was straining them while looking in the mirror trying to do the back and top part of the hair.
