Easy to use
The color of this product is beautiful. I have dark brown hair and this gives me perfect blonde highlights. The longer you leave it on the lighter the hair gets. I always leave it on for the max time. Super easy to use, my husband does my hair for me. Make sure u pull the strands all the way through the cap so your hair doesn't look blotchy. The quality of this product is better than any I've ever used. I use to buy this in store but now you can only get it online from Amazon! The texture isn't gritty and its easier to mix than you may think. Will always buy this brand and product. Make sure to follow the directions on the box and you will habe no problem. Just remember to allow yourself up to 2 hours. This is from start to finish. It does take time to get the hair pulled through the cap. I use every other hoke. Covers gray too which is a major plus for me!

Natural, Professional Looking Results
I bought this highlighting kit to use on my teenage daughter, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! The instructions were simple and easy to follow, and the process itself was much less intimidating than I expected. The highlights came out looking so natural—just the right amount of brightness without being streaky or brassy. It truly looks like she’s been spending time in the sun. What I also really appreciated is how user-friendly this set was, even for someone who doesn’t usually do at-home coloring. The tools included made it easy to section and apply, and clean-up was a breeze. My daughter loves her new look, and I love that it saved us a pricey salon visit while still giving professional-looking results. It gave us the natural, beautiful finish we were hoping for, and I would definitely recommend it to others!

Decades of experienced
I've been using this product for years. I've never used the cap. My hair is too fragile to pull through. The product is thick enough that it doesn't spread if you just work with one strand at a time and paint it on with a small spatula. This works beautifully. I quit wrapping strands in foil. You can save the powder and the gel separately and do touch-ups several times.

Good results but wrong color.
My highlights look good, but are not the color they are supposed to be. They are listed on box as caramel, but came out blonde. My natural color is brown. It is essential to use toner. Do not freak out if highlights originally have an orange tone. The included toner is fabulous, and I wish it were available for individual purchase on Amazon. I want to share a helpful tip for those pulling highlights through a cap. Since the second layer of the cap does not come with holes cut out, use the tool to poke holes through before putting cap on head. Be certain the cap is tight and smooth, then pierce a hole directly beneath the hole on top layer. Otherwise, it will take you a long time to pierce the cap and pull hair through. Plus, this will ensure you are not pulling hair from the side of the hole, resulting in what looks like regrowth. This also keeps your arms from getting tired as you work. You may be surprised how holding your arms up for extended periods causes burning and fatigue.

Great for home highlights on med brown, long hair
I liked this so much that I bought another one two weeks later. I successfully changed my cool toned brown hair into a vibrant, summer streaked blonde. Instructions were very easy and I prepped my hair for about a week prior to using it. I am NOT a hairdresser so I tried to take every precaution - a few hair masks and lots of conditioning. I mixed the product, placed the bag nice and tight on my head, and proceeded to take very thin amounts of hair around my face. I let it sit for a full 60 minutes (light yellow-do not be fooled by the dried bleach because it looks lighter than it is until you rinse), and then followed the instructions on how to rinse and condition. The result is honey colored, sun-kissed highlights. I love it! As I stated, I did get another box and repeated the process so that I could lighten more. It is now 4 weeks post and my hair is a little dryer, as expected , but I bought some extra conditioner (Aveda) and so far, I am thrilled. I will definitely use this again. Oh, and I saved about $250. Win win.

Me encanta el color pero no utilices la gorra que viene en el kit, recomiendo otra que ya viene con los huecos y la puedes reusar, lo demás muy bien.

Difficult to do by yourself
The things women do for beauty. I remember this kit from thh 90's, I can't believe they still sell this exactly the same way. With the same exact girl on the cover. Why not update the picture? If you buy this, don't trust the cap. You need to poke hole in it first and the best the thing to use is a toothpick or a seam ripper. Its true, if you have dark hair, the highlights won't be as light, but its still turns out nice because it looks more natural, not like a streaky skunk like the lady in the cover. If you have short hair, you will have a lot of leftover. I will warn you now, if you plan on doing all over highlights, you should get a friend to help you because it requires octopus hands and an owl neck to turn around and pull the hair out. I did it by myself and I had to take neck breaks because it hurt. And my eyes were hurting as well because I was straining them while looking in the mirror trying to do the back and top part of the hair.
