This is the only product that my son has found that helps with his scalp itchiness and flaking. It was recommended by our dermatologist who sells it in his office. I was glad to find that I could order it on Amazon rather than have to go to the office every few weeks and I even saved a few bucks. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. I will definitely order again

Good relief from dandruff due to dermatitis; Still, I do seem to think that the "Ala Seb T Shampoo" works better in general. The coal tar is the only thing that is different from this product and the Ala Seb T version.

I have used Ala Seb T Medicated Shampoo in the past and it is by far the best product over the counter or with a prescription that I have found for controlling flaking, itchy scalp, dandruff, or whatever you want to call it. The key to this or any dandruff shampoo I have tried is letting it soak for as long as you can. The label says to let it sit for five minutes. The longer, the better, but, when in a hurry, I only let it soak for about a minute and I still get great results. This time I ordered Ala Seb (without the "T") by accident. It works good, but it is better with the "T". The "T" is coal tar and that is the main ingredient of any dandruff shampoo worth anything. In Ala Seb, the main ingredient is Salicylic Acid which dissolves the flaky skin. The coal tar and the acid is a powerful combination that can't be beat! I am 60 years old and have been fighting this condition since I was 17 and the best product I found after seeing dermatologists was Pentrax, an over the counter coal tar shampoo and I used that until last year when my VA doctor prescribed Ala Seb T. My search is over. Unless a cure is found. I know this sounds like an ad. It is not. I have no connection with Amazon, the Ala Seb company, or anyone else.
