My shelf space only allows them to be stacked two at a time, so I don't know if they could be stacked higher.

Are these "Libbey Duratuff" (usually marked on bottom of glass)?

Mine just have a little cursive "L" on the bottom. Yours may be made for restaurants. "This DuraTuff treatment is designed to increase the glass's resistance to mechanical and thermal shock while also making it safer to use."

Are these glasses "smooth" on the inside, or are the "indentations" apparent (felt) inside the glass?

No- the indentations are only felt on the exterior. It's completely smooth on the inside. They're great glasses. Heavy enough but not overly.

is this glass and not plastic

Heavy duty glass. These are great. I bought the 22 oz ones which are pretty big. I wish I had bought the 16oz ones instead but still very happy.
