20V MAX Battery, Compact 2.0Ah Double Pack (DCB203-2)

It's pretty impossible to find this size battery these days in any physical stores. Good 2-pack of this particular battery at a great price point.

I purchased two Dewalt 20v, 2.0Ah, batteries with my original two-speed brushless 20v hammer drill some 12 years ago. One battery lasted about five years under intermittent but often very heavy residential use (e.g., building a 6X8' wood shed, a 70-ft-long 7-ft-high wood fence, a subtantive 6X6" timber retaining wall, stud walls in a basement renovation, and innumerable other significant home projects using innuerable construction and deck screws not to mention drilling hundreds of holes for a large stainless-steel deck railing system). The second of the two original batteries finally lost its strength late in 2023, so I purchased two new ones and a new drill. I anticipate/hope that these new batteries last as long as 10 years.

Bought an off brand and purchased these also just in case the off brand didn’t work/ but they did! So in the future we will purchase the off brand due to the high cost of Dewalt name brand!

I am highly satisfied with this DEWALT 20V MAX 2.0Ah double pack. These batteries are significantly lighter than the 4.0Ah or 5.0Ah versions, which greatly reduces hand fatigue during extended overhead use. Despite the compact size, they hold a charge remarkably well and power my drill and impact driver through a full day of DIY projects. The built-in 3-LED fuel gauge is incredibly convenient for checking remaining power at a glance. Getting a two-pack is a fantastic value because I can keep one on the charger while using the other. Highly recommended for anyone looking to keep their tools lightweight without sacrificing performance!

Great quality and brand

I have just about every DeWalt 20v tool, from basic drill to pole saws, hedge trimmers, etc. Very happy with all. I have a collection of 5AH and 6AH batteries, and ordered a pair of 2AH to use with my drill and 1/4" impact driver, due to light weight and compact size. I don't have experience with the "power stack" batteries or the 20/60 flex batteries. Received the 2AH today. 2/3 charge. Worked fine with my drill, and they are on the charger now. With regard to power/weight, the 2AH weight 365 grams (182g/AH), the 5AH weigh 635 grams (127 g/AH), and the 6ah (which is huge relative to the 5) weighs 975 g (162 grams/AH), so from that standpoint the 5AH is a clear winner in terms of power to weight. With regard to cost/AH, the 2AH pair cost $71 ($35.50 each, $17.75 per AH), the 6AH is currently selling on Amazon for $202.49 for a pair ($ 101.25 each, $20.25 per AH, and the 5AH is currently selling on Amazon for $129 for a pair ($64.50 each, $12.90 per AH). There is even a kit of 2 5AH, charger, and bag for $131.19 which is a great deal if you don't already have a charger(s). I knew this going in, and bought the 2 AH for compact size and less weight, but for power to weight and cost per AH, the 5AH seems to be the "sweet spot". You can do the math for other batteries (but I don't have weights): The "power stacks) are quite pricey. The 9AH 20/60 flex volt is $17,17 per AH, etc. In summary, the 2AH are light and compact, but not the best "value". Do your own comparisons based on your tools and needs. I don't know that I would trust the "knockoffs", fearing that I might set my house on fire....

Arrived on time and well packaged (thanks Amazon). Genuine DeWalt 20v 2 ah batteries in a DeWalt box and manufactured in 2026. Charged up with no issues and I have been using them all this week at work with absolutely no issues. Great price and quality products, will definitely purchase again if needed. I was able to register them on the DeWalt website to get the 3 year warranty without any problem.

The batteries eventually lose capacity, so if you managed to wear out a dewalt tool, likely the batteries are almost useless. I took my old dewalt packs apart and found they had top quality batteries inside. I could purchase top quality cells and spot weld them in -- but it is cheaper just to buy new dewalt, especially if it goes on sale. Unlike the clones, the plastic is excellent and It fits tightly to the tools. It has a charge indicator (everything does these days, unlike old dewalt packs). Occasionally I find the tools too large to fit in awkward places, so these smaller batteries are ideal.
