Poorly Drawn Lines: Good Ideas and Amazing Stories

I love this author and his comics on Reddit and Instagram. My little brother and my husband are both fans also, so this was a perfect Christmas stocking stuffer. The book is so funny and comes packed with comics, many of which we haven't seen already. I keep this book on our end table for guests to thumb through while we're cooking and almost all of them have laughed after only a few pages. Super fun to have.

A must have if you love the web comic series at poorlydrawnlines.com. This book is so much fun and full of brilliant and intelligently funny comics. The characters are original and full of personality. The art and writing in this book is really smart and so enjoyable to read and look at. You will actually laugh-out-loud when you read these comics, they are hilarious, however, I must warn you that some of the writing and art in these comics are a bit graphic so I would not recommended this book for young children. I don't want to spoil anything by giving examples so just Buy this book now, you won't regret it!

This book was a must-have holiday gift for select friends and family members this year (and it's still on my "I want one!" list, 'cos nobody got me one, boo). Reza has a wry sense of humor that I really enjoy. The drawings may be simple, but the comedic punches and observations on life are spot-on. Taking animals, funny people, hilarious stories. Appeals to Gen Xers and Millenials alike. Not for little kids or people who don't prefer a little cussing, though! Thanks, Reza!

These are my favorite comics ever, they are so funny. Although I follow the artist on Instagram and can see them for free, I also like buying the book to support the artist. If you enjoy the comics, I would 100% buy the book to support the artist.

Oh my gosh, this book. There were so many times I had to put it down, wait until I stopped laughing, then look to the sky and say, "This is SO f***ing funny!" I loved it from first page to last. I'm giving copies to my funny friends, I'm re-reading it. This book just makes me happy, and it will make you happy too. It's so f***ing funny.

I like the dark but simple comics in Reza's POORLY DRAWN LINES. The humor and oddball situations mix beautifully with the straightforward art style, which is absolutely the right choice. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the book description said the book was a collection of comics and essays, so I was hoping to see some of Reza sharing his creative process instead of humorous story vignettes. Definitely an enjoyable book and I look forward to future collections.

I normally don’t buy books of short web comics, but Poorly Drawn Lines is special. The perfect type of humor for me. Goofy, characters I somehow identify with in a three or four panel comic, and Ernesto.

The art is simplicity at it's finest, the scenarios are bizzare, and the wit is oh so sharp! Much to my surprise, there are several short stories and essays in this collection, and they are exquisite! Finding them as enjoyable as I did, they were a pleasant diversion from the stellar illustrated material.
