Apollo 3/4" Bronze Double Union Threaded Water Pressure Regulator w/Gauge

I really like being able to get immediate visual feedback via the large pressure gauge.

I bought the Apollo 3/4" PRV a few weeks ago to tackle the crazy high water pressure at my new house, which was sitting at a pipe-straining 95 PSI. I'm happy to report that it's installed and has brought everything down to a much safer 60 PSI. The Good: Built Like a Tank: The first thing you notice is the weight. This is a heavy, solid bronze regulator. It feels like a quality piece of hardware that's going to last for years, which is what you want for something controlling your home's entire water supply. Effective: It does its job perfectly. The adjustment was simple, and the included gauge makes it easy to dial in the exact pressure you need and confirm it's working. No more water hammer when the sprinklers shut off! Double Union is a Smart Design: Having unions on both ends is a fantastic feature. If I ever need to replace or service it down the road, it will be incredibly easy to remove without cutting any pipes. The Minor Gripe: My only issue was during installation. The female threads were exceptionally tight. It took a lot more Teflon tape and pipe dope than I'm used to—and a good bit of muscle with two pipe wrenches—to get a secure, leak-free seal on the male fittings. It wasn't impossible by any means, but it was definitely a tougher fight than I anticipated. Overall: This is a high-quality, effective pressure regulator that gives me peace of mind. I'm knocking off one star for the difficult threading, but I would still absolutely recommend it. Just be prepared to put some extra effort into the installation to get it sealed up right.

The product was easy to install once I found the connection parts at the hardware store. It effectively reduced the very high water pressure and seems to be saving water on showers.

Good product I did have to buy some extra parts but that depends on your current plumbing, overall good quality
