If you're serious about heavy duty towing and you're on the fence about spending the money I will say that it's worth every penny. Towmate quality is top notch and will last for years with a little care and cleaning. With the time and frustration you will save on trying to run cords and tie them up so they don't fall and touch tires or the ground it pays for its self. They have a great warranty (granted I've never had a problem with any of the bars I've owned). And if for some strange reason the battery happens to be dead. Just wire the bar up like a traditional wired bar and you're good to go. You have lights again and you charge the bar at the same time. Wiring the charger plug is pretty easy you can tie in to any 12v source or I went to the parts store and purchased a cigarette style 12v cord and hooked it up that way. As far as tying it down I added a 5 ft fabric motorcycle strap to hang it from. Comes standard with rubber bungee cords and I just wanted a little extra security for my $600 investment. MY ONLY ISSUE: (And can't say weather this would happen with any other RF trucks just know it happens with mine) Because my truck uses a RF style remote control system the bar and transmitter give off some interference that won't allow me to use the remote control if A) The bar itself is powered on And or B) The transmitter is transmitting (meaning the turn signal and or brake lights are activated) They do not cause undesired operations, they just block the remote from communicating with the truck. Like its not connected. It's a pretty simple solution just turnoff the bar and or the signal lights or unplug the transmitter if I need to use the remote control. Not really an issue just and inconvenience, more of a first world problem. It doesn't interfere with my other trucks remote which operates on a digital signal in any way shape or form. To conclude. Towmate products are a great value. Very reliable and trustworthy. Makes your job a breeze and can pretty much say without a doubt you will be very happy with this wonderful tool.

Nice set up unfortunately they did a couple of changes that completely was not done with knowledge ( they took metal carry handle replaced it with big bulky plastic handle , they also took power switch put it underneath of bulky handle ,not a smart move for the switch at all ) GOODLUCK

Kept this light bar on a battery maintainer all the time. Only lasted a year. Won’t charge anymore.

PAid $549 for this to not work! Out of the box turn signals DO NOT work! Have tried to get replacement for 2 months with NO luck!
