A friend told me about someone he knew in Glasgow who had just lost his job and was in need of a phone to stay in touch with his family that did not live in the UK. He needed a smartphone that could connect to wifi or that had data capabilities. Not having a lot of money myself, but wanting to help, I looked for affordable smartphones on Amazon and this one came up. After reading some of the reviews, I understood what some of the downsides were (plastic backing as opposed to a fully metal structure, a slightly less responsive screen). But I thought about what this guy needed: basically WhatsApp (for family) and YouTube (for entertainment during isolation). So I went ahead and bought it.I unboxed it because I wanted to set it up for the guy before giving it to him, just in case he wasn't too tech savvy himself. I removed the plastic backing and put the battery in. I charged it and it took around an hour (maybe a little more) to get to 100%. Then I connected to the wifi and tested some videos on YouTube and news sites. No problem, although I wasn't able to get the video to go full screen when I tilted the phone on its side. I think this is because I was using the default browser and not the YouTube app or a better browser like Chrome or Firefox (I didn't download any apps because I wanted to let the person I was giving this to put in his own information to access the Android app store. Apart from the question as to whether or not videos can play full screen when you rotate the screen, the rest of the phone was perfectly fine. Internet access great. Sound quality, image quality very good. Camera quality a bit middling, especially on the front-facing camera (used for selfies and chat apps), but this is a forgivable quality given the price.In the end, this phone was more or less what this person needed and what I could afford to help out with. If you're thinking of getting this for yourself because you too are on a budget, it's probably a good choice. Also a good choice if you want to get a starter smartphone for kids or have a backup if you lose or break your normal phone.

I got this for my dad. He was changing from a brick style to an actual smart phone.He has poor eyesight so I set up a feature where he can triple tap the screen and it will zoom right in for him.It's nice having him on WhatsApp and he loves the novelty of video calling us all.To be honest we've had more video calls since Christmas day than we have in our whole lives.He was just excited. It's easy to set up and use.Battery life is fair.It comes with both a case and screen protector.Perfect starter phone.

ALREADY REPLACED WITHIN A MONTH OF BUYING DUE TO THIS PHONE BEING SUCH LOW QUALITYWithout any doubt, this is the worst phone I have ever owned in my entire life. Running on an out of date version of android, takes over an hour to load a 10 second video on youtube with 5 bars of 3G data, and cannot physically synchronise video and audio anyway. due to the phone arriving pre-rooted I cannot even sign in to gMail and this is a security risk. Works fine for 2 weeks, then fails consistently from the day the return period expired.I cancelled my amazon prime account due to this phone arriving in such poor condition that it is barely usable.cannot install up to date apps at allcannot play facebook videos at allcannot recognize a face with a beard or glasses, I have bothfingerprint scanner is on the screen, not the weird metal thing on the rear of the phone which actually does not serve any purpose at allscreen does not work with the slightest bit of moisture on the screen, so if you drip sweat onto it while on the phone, good luck hanging upalarms regularly fail to go offwhile typing, your cursor will move from the end of the word, to the middle without your command,making long messages impossible to type using this phone. this makes one key feature of the phone almost unusablethe fact this phone comes pre-rooted prevents you from opening the camera through other apps such as the out-of-date versions of facebook, snapchat, instagram, etc, meaning social media apps are unusablecannot sign in to email accountsregularly claims to have no internet connection when there is a full signalcannot sign in to MyVodafone, so cannot pay my bills with this phonecannot play even the simplest games, as they cannot open without hard crashing the devicecannot install ,ore than 3 apps, as the memory is limited to less than 100MBcannot read my SD cards (i own 5, 0 of which would register as connected to this phone, but they work with the one I bought to replace it)GPS location is set to Norway, I am in England. This means the entire location services will not work with anythingALREADY REPLACED WITHIN A MONTH OF BUYING DUE TO THIS PHONE BEING SUCH LOW QUALITYthis "phone" has been falsely advertised using predatory techniques and should be removed from sale. the fact amazon would even carry such a shoddy product on this site has given me such a sense of distrust that I have deactivated my entire prime account, not like there was anything worth watching on Prime Video anyway, something else that you cannot sign in to using this phone due to security issuesHad this phone been produced within the UK the company would be shut down.Had this phone been sold to me via any other provider, they would be liable for some hefty fines.I regret purchasing this phone and I was literally given the money to get it, and still feel majorly ripped off.

The phone arrived the next morning after i ordered it which is great! Lightweight and easy to hold, fits perfectly in my pocket! Extremely happy with the experience I have had purchasing the phone with NeoMan. Overall 10/10

Bought this as a cheap replacement for alcatel, for my son. For the price it is exactly what was needed. Good screen size, slick in style, battery life is amazing and very easy to use. Don't be fooled by the price, you definitely get more than what you pay for here and delivery was super quick. Son loves it. Got a different coloured one for daughter and she loves it toooo

I’ve recently bought this sim free smart android phone and it works very well. I really like the camera and video and photo quality. The phone has expandable storage and I can download as many apps as I can. The phone’s battery life lasts for one day. The phone has big screen and fine touch.

Brought this phone for my dad's first touch screen phone and he's well happy with it

Good features but the volume was too quiet to hear calls and I had it on full volume and I do not have hearing problems.
