My rather expensive Braun hair cutter died after just 2 years service - and Braun wanted £50+ to repair it...... So, I popped it in the bin and decided to go a cheaper route. Based on the reviews, I opted for these devices from Wahl. At £28, they are a bargain. A third of the price of my Braun and everything works so much better! You get the hair cutter, a smaller trimmer, a carry case and all sorts of accessories. The hair cutter is rechargeable - with a single charge lasting for ages. The cut length is determined by which coloured guide you opt for. There is a more than adequate range to choose from! There is also a small bottle of machine oil. The recommendation is to apply a tiny drop on the blades prior to use. I found the cutter extremely easy to use and surprisingly comfortable. It's also so much quicker than the Braun. I am impressed. The smaller trimmer is battery (1x AA) powered and works great for fine trimming around the ears etc. It is a tad cheap and cheerful but, to be fair, it does the job.... So, overall this package represents remarkable value for money - so why pay so much more for a "branded" product? As you may have guessed, I am rather chuffed 😀 😊

Fantastic set. The colour-coded combs make it really simple to get the right length, and the clipper cuts smoothly without snagging. The cordless design is convenient, and the battery lasts a long time between charges. The smaller trimmer is perfect for tidying edges. Great quality for the price. Ideal for home haircuts!

I purchased the Wahl Colour Pro Cordless Combi Haircutting Kit recently for an elderly, bed-bound relative who is a bit too "frugal" to pay for a professional barber to visit the house. The key for the colour codes is printed directly on the clipper itself, which is a thoughtful touch. • Operational Quality: The clipper is surprisingly lightweight and easy to manoeuvre around someone in bed. It is also a quiet hair clipper with very little vibration. I can confirm it is suitable for nervous people and children, as the low noise level is very gentle. • Hair Type & Cut Quality: My relative has thick, slightly wiry, wavy hair. I was pleased to find that the high-precision, self-sharpening blades handled this challenging hair type without pulling or snagging. • Easy Maintenance: It is very simple to pop the blades off for rinsing. The kit is a comprehensive men’s grooming set, including a cleaning brush, a plastic comb, a mini cape, and safety scissors. Things to Consider: • Battery & Charging: The instruction book states an hour for a full charge, so that's exactly what I did. The rechargeable clipper held its charge perfectly for my first two full haircuts. However, it is important to note that this clipper cannot be used while charging (cordless use only). Also, the charging light stays red, so there is no indicator for a full charge. • Clipper Oil Quantity: The kit includes a tiny bottle of clipper oil. While small, if you are doing monthly cuts, this bottle should easily last for months. • Build Quality: The clipper itself is robust, though the plastic attachments feel a bit flimsy. I’m not sure about their long-term durability, but for now, they provide great value for money. Summary & My Pro Tips: I am definitely no professional, and I won't be giving up my day job! However, the gentleman is presentable, has no complaints about the job, and I would happily let him out in public. My Advice for New Users: • Protect Your Confidence: When you first start, pick a longer comb than your barber would normally use. You can always go over it a second time with a shorter comb, but you can't put the hair back! • Learn as You Go: There are plenty of excellent YouTube tutorials available; I plan to watch a few myself to up my skill level! • Hygiene & Performance: I recommend buying a sanitising spray and oiling the blades before every use to keep them sharp. • The Professional Finish: This kit doesn't include thinning scissors. I highly suggest buying a pair separately; they are the secret to blending away harsh clipper lines for a more polished look.

There are times when you muddle along with your old gear and think “it still works, so I don’t need to replace it”. That’s what I thought about my old clippers. I’d owned a wired set of Whal clippers before but when they wore out I bought a named brand alternative (beginning with R). They were ok to start with but they seemed to get blunter and clog frequently, until it got to the point that I think they were ripping out more hairs than they were cutting. These clippers are so far beyond brilliant by comparison. They give a fast, even cut. The guards are colour coded for ease and THEY’RE WIRELESS!! It’s great that they can work wired too, but the power cable is a bit short so I doubt they’ll ever get used that way Battery life is great. Quality is great. Kit contents is good, but the battery powered mini clipper is really noisy and as it has no guards it’s more of a gimmick than anything else - especially when the clippers themselves are so easy to use for detailing. Overall, a brilliant purchase that I wish I’d made months ago

Works really well, quiet, cuts hair very smoothly, does not pull at the hair, it is very light and hold a charge a long time, the head is very hard to remove for cleaning, the extra heads are great for cutting accurately but I bought 2 extra for a longer cut, but an excellent machin, would reccomend and it was good value for money including a trimmer also.

Brilliant item works fantastic

Not a bad value pack but you will need additional batteries for the small trimmer and the battery life on the large clippers lasts for about 20-30mins. You will need to constantly charge and change batteries. Additionally i would rate the small trimmers 4/10. They are nice and compact incase you need to pack them for travelling, but they do not cut well, and have alot of mechanical issues with the power supply. Sometimes they will cut very slow and midway through will spontaneously speed up. Not the best honestly you may need to buy separate trimmers to use as the small ones wont last. Ive had this product for 2 months and i am already having problems with the trimmer. Comes with good attachments, blade oil, and does not heat/overheat quick. The only major issue would be the battery life of the large clippers and functionality of the small trimmers. Overall decent value for the bang for your buck. 6/10

I have used Wahl for years. Bought this to replace very similar old one. Had started to get blunt. Good weight and feel, and the matching trimmer. Always great quality with their hair cutters. The combs on this one seem to bee of shorter depth than my last ones. I have found that Wahl trimmer quality varies greatly, this one is good. Although I Wish I had read the details more fully. Though the trimmer is of a good looking quality, the trimmer is not rechargeable but is 1AA battery. It also does not come with any combs which usually come with the trimmer. Luckily I had not disposed of my old one so could use the combs off that.

Good but the battery doesn't have that enough power...need to charge immediately. Maybe I'm not charging it correctly. I didn't see the charging instruction on the manual..did I missed it??

Also es ist ein durchschnittlich gutes Gerät für den Preis. Nur ist kein für europäische Steckdosen geeigneter Ladestecker dabei....echt witzig
