No problem
As long as you go SLOWLY it works fine. Just takes a moment to get started.

Good luck to you if you buy this.
So frustrating. No matter what weight yarn I try it just knots up on the outside of the tube and never goes into the tube. I tried with the weight and without the weight. I made these mistake of buying it and not trying it right away. Now it is too late to return it and I am stuck with this. I do have to say that I am surprised that this is the case as prym typically makes good products but this one seems to have more flaws than redeeming qualities . Maybe it’s operator error but it shouldn’t be this difficult to get this to work. I have other knitting machines and they work just fine. If I can ever get this to work then I am sure it would be a good value for the price but it doesn’t appear that way at the moment.

Easy and fun!
Once you get the hang of starting it and keeping the tension, it’s great! The weight could be better designed and I wish the yarn tail didn’t have to be so long, my only issues!

Took SO LONG to get it to work.
I am still debating on whether or not to return this. The little latch hooks did not cooperate for the first 45 minutes I tried. I read dozens of reviews, both good and bad, and they were both convincing. I figured that there were many more positives so for less than $20, I would give it a try.It only works with sock yarn. Tightly fibered sock yarn - the most expensive yarn. That's it. Everything else gets caught and it starts "knitting" on the OUTSIDE of the little column in there, not going down the center. Plus, if you need a lot, you better have a three-story balcony as it takes a lot of height due to the needs weight. The close-up photos show some of the many flaws in the I-cord. I was so careful to keep the tension consistent but the handle (due to its hiccups of function) would 'catch and I think that is where the errors, or loose knit spots, happened. If I HAD to make I-cord for a business and it needed to work consistently, this would not be it.

Worked exactly as described.
Love it. Works well with any thin yarn I have tried. Seems well made. Worth the money if it holds up. So far, so good.
