Review: King Turtle doesn’t disappoint. - This is a great-looking watch and very comfortable to wear. My wrist is about 7.5”, and I think it fits perfectly. The bottom of the case is nicely rounded, which makes it sit comfortably on the wrist. It also has a bit of weight to it, which gives it a solid, premium feel that I really like. Review: Great Quality for Everyday Wear - I am quite a watch fanatic and own many pieces from Rolex, Omega, Tudor, and Tag Heuer. This watch has a fantastic feel of quality at an affordable cost. I like to take a break from wearing my more expensive pieces to keep the wear off them. Also, getting robbed downtown for your watch is a real thing these days. This Seiko has near the same quality feel of my Submariner at a fraction of the cost. Let's be real it is not a Rolex or Omega by any shape, form, or fashion. The automatic movement works well and I have to make a slight adjustment about every 3 weeks. However, for $500 bucks you can't go wrong and your are getting many of the same benefits of a quality timepiece. I suggest this Seiko since it has a Sapphire Crystal as well. To me that is a minimal requirement for someone that is very active , in the woods, or on the water often. I forget I am not wearing my Omega or Rolex at times and go weeks without taking it off. Don't be afraid to add this Seiko to your collection. Cheers

Incredibly accurate out of the box. Pin and collar links make sizing it a chore.
Excellent watch. Chapter rings align as does the cyclops. I have had it on my wrist for 5 days and tracked the accuracy with an app and was blown away. I am getting average of +1 sec/day. Probably luck of the draw but that is an amazing movement. Went in the water and went snorkeling with it. Amazing value for money and a solid offering by Seiko. The only downside was the pin and collar system when sizing the bracelet. I have the tools and knew what I was doing and still was a chore to size it. Make sure to look for seiko pin and collar on youtube. If you don’t set the pins properly the bracelet will fall off. The bracelet and watch are super comfortable. The picture does not do it justice. Amazing watch!!!

Perfection.
I perched this timepiece because it is an automatic movement; but most importantly because it is a date-day with a magnifying glass on it. Plus, Saturday is in blue, and Sunday is in red. Something that is very rare in watches now days. I love this timepiece. I definitely recommend it.

Affordable rugged versatility
I've had this for almost two years and it spends more time on my wrist than any other piece in my collection. The 45mm case size almost made me shy away, but the short lug-to-lug dimensions has this wearing smaller - closer to 43mm. The cushion case design makes it that much more wearable since it is a heavy chunk of metal with quite a bit of real estate in it's overall design. The sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel insert make the face of this watch virtually immune to scratches. Can't tell you how many times I've banged this on door knobs, seat belts, washers, etc. The perfect tool watch. It isn't perfect and has the signature Seiko quality control issues. In my case, the bezel is almost half a click out of alignment, but it's not a deal breaker, and it's relatively easy to correct it. I think it's part of the Seiko charm. It does come with a cyclops, but mine wasn't aligned properly and it really bothered me. A bit of patience and heat from a soldering iron will be able to loosen up the adhesive so that it can be removed. I also wasn't a fan of the bracelet that comes with the watch. The Turtle feels right at home on a NATO or an aftermarket jubilee with fitted end links. These sport the 4r36 movement and it is good enough with mine losing about 12s/day. It can be regulated, but it is within tolerance and it gives me an opportunity to interact with the watch that much more. Seiko's movements are known for their dependability and I know people that have 20+ year-old pieces that have never been serviced and are still running well. There's a reason it's the movement of choice for a lot of microbrands. Dressed up or dressed down, the SRPE03 King Turtle is perfect for almost any occasion and I truly believe that this is an instant classic and one of the last bastions of affordable quality from Seiko.

Complete Let Down - Does Not Keep Time
I wore this watch for about 5 months before it started to stop keeping time. It was losing an hour. Exactly an hour, but only sometimes. Then suddenly two hours. Sometimes. Now it starts and stops frequently. I wear it 24/7 so it is always wound up. No idea what went wrong with it, but for $500 it has been a complete letdown. I am now looking to see if I can figure out the warranty. I have to track down the exact seller. Who has time for this? I was hoping this would save me the hassle of buying a watch every few years. Now I am stuck dealing with a broken watch and whatever that will take to get fixed. Can't recommend you get a Seiko. Follow up: I have sent the watch to the official repair facility ($26 paid by myself) and after two weeks it came back with the time set incorrect (off bu 21 minutes), which is not a good sign, and set to the wrong day of the week. I’ll leave it at that.
