yes it will. It is pretty wide.

Is it big enough to hold a beach towel ?

Probably. But nothing else. (I used it as a gift bag. It barely held the goodies I bought)

Super cute reusable tote bag

I bought this to use as a gift bag. It is on the smaller side so it can't fit very big things or a ton of things, depending on how big the things the items are, but it was fine for what i needed it for. I love the design that i got & i was almost tempted to buy one for myself.
