What's the micron rating of the #2 pads? I'm seeing some sites say 2 and others say 1 micron.

One brewery store I use for supplies sells them as 1.8 micron.

Are the filter pads plastic or are they paper (like coffee filter)?

The filters are paper, but much different than coffee filters, as well. They are about 1/8th inch thick and three are needed for each filtering operation. They are thick matted paper.
