What is purpose of having a cover? Unless you plan on storing in safe for a while or?

While a cover is not necessary, I use it while the gun is stored in the safe and also while transporting it to the gun range. This protects the optics glass from getting scratched/damaged.

What model fits the springfield hellcat?

This item is a cover only for the HoloSun 507c HS Red Dot. The optics for your Hellcat take a base adapter (or not! I don't own a Hellcat). You can contact Springfield Armory or do some more research on moptic ounting for pistols. The Holosun is a good choice and requires an RMR base plate. Then you can buy this cover to protect the red dot when not in use!
