Easy to use
I bought this Verify kit to check the water quality at home, and I couldn't be more satisfied. What impressed me most was how comprehensive it is: it comes with 100 test strips that analyze 10 different parameters—ideal for measuring lead, chlorine, hardness, pH, and more. It also includes two specific tests for bacteria, which offers tremendous peace of mind. My favorite feature is how fast the results are; you get the readings from the water strips in a matter of seconds.

Satisfied with results!
I tested the water from our refrigerator (filtered), kitchen sink (not filtered), and a sealed bottle of water (Crystal Geyser) each 3x to account for any variances. Before testing all three water sources. The bottled water had the best results with water hardness at the low end between 25-50 ppm. However, water from the kitchen sink and refrigerator were equally at the far-end (250ppm +). None of the tests showed unacceptable levels for the other indicators, with the exception being Alkalinity for both the fridge and sink (180ppm +), while bottled water was <40ppm. I wanted to test our water because my wife and I are looking at buying a water softener and whole house water filter, and needed an idea of the quality of our water supply. Overall, the strips are easy to use, and there's plenty of strips for future testing at a relatively low cost.

THIS TEST DOES NOT WORK!
THIS TEST does NOT work!! I have been using these strips to test the water in my new apartment to determine how much chlorine was in the city water, and I used the same test at my parents house in the country- which I KNOW should be different, with water that is less hard and less chlorine in the water. However, the test read the SAME results at my parents house and my city apartment water, AND then it showed the same using BOTTLED WATER from the store. The test showed that every form of water I tested had: high acidity (PH of <6), Low chlorine, and soft water. After getting skeptical, I had a professional tester come in and do the same tests on the same water, and the water showed: Ph 7.5 (balanced), HARD water, and HIGH chlorine. THIS TEST is not accurate, and probably NOT doing anything!! DO not use this to gauge your water.

Varify 17in1 Complete Drinking Water Test Kit
This test kit was delivered only hours after it was ordered. I found there was a slight amount of Chlorine in the distilled water, only about 1 part per million, making it safe to drink. The Chlorine is from the carafe that is filled under the steam distiller's spout. The plastic 1 gallon container was cleaned by the seller before I bought it, but the powerful smell of Chlorine had me worried, so I got this test kit to find out. I did also find out the tap water is alkaline by a significant amount, so the steam-distilled water is a really good idea. I would like to say this was a false alarm, but you never know, and when I noticed the sharp smell of Chlorine I wanted to make sure this wasn't dangerous. The Chlorine will gradually wash out of the 2 plastic 1 gallon containers, and I have 98 more test strips with the indicator chart for any more concerns. This was inexpensive, easy to use, and not difficult to read the results. The box is too small to replace the contents including the opened 20 pack of test strips: which need to be protected from environmental contact until used to test. But plastic bags and a parking space in the kitchen cupboard works well. A good buy and EARLY Delivery that I couldn't believe until it was here!

Alakaline result never changes
This 17-in-1 drinking water test kit is a solid budget at-home option to check a bunch of common water quality parameters without sending samples to a lab. It’s easy to use — just dip a strip, wait the indicated time, and compare the colors to the included chart. 💧 What It Tests: You get 100 test strips plus 2 bacteria tests that cover things like pH, hardness, chlorine, fluorides, nitrates/nitrites, iron, copper, zinc, and lead — all in one kit. 👍 What I Liked: • Packed with strips for repeated testing over time. • Simple color-chart results — no complicated tools or meters needed. • A good first look at your tap or well water if you just want a general snapshot. ⚠️ Caveats: • Lead & alkalinity results can be hard to read or inconsistent on these multi-parameter strips, especially if the colors run or overlap — which can make borderline readings tough to interpret. This is pretty normal for low-cost strip kits vs lab tests. (Tip: if you get unexpected or concerning lead results, follow up with a certified lab test for confirmation.) • Bacteria results take longer (~48 hrs) versus most chemical tests. 🧪 Bottom Line: A very affordable, easy at-home tool to check many basic drinking water indicators; perfect for spot checks or monthly monitoring — just don’t rely on it as a definitive health-grade lead/alkalinity analysis. For that, lab testing is a better choice.

I liked the idea of testing my water bottle and filter sometimes
I wanted a simple way to occasionally check the water quality from my home filter, and this kit has been easy to use so far. What I liked * Simple testing process and quick results * Includes plenty of strips for repeated testing * Interesting to monitor water quality over time * The tests I ran on my filtered water showed very good results What could be better * The color matching can require a bit of interpretation depending on lighting * I haven’t tested it with my spa water yet, so I can’t comment on performance across different water sources. Overall impression So far, it seems to do what it promises. I’ve only used two test strips up to now, but the experience has been positive and practical. Is it worth it? If you like keeping an eye on your home water quality without complicated equipment, this seems like a useful option.
