Because of Winn-Dixie

A beautiful, well written, story. Meant for children but thoroughly enjoyed by this adult!

This is a kind novel about a 10-year old girl and her new dog Winn-Dixie and how it becomes the new and important member of the family and helps a girl to find a new friend. This is a good story about life with a dog, about friendship, care, support and help. I purchased this book for my 8-year old daughter and she really enjoys the story.

Beautiful, poetic, uplifting and deep book about loss and friendship, and about how we can find happiness despite having lost someone we love. I read it with my 7 years old. I must confess I cried in some parts, but he was fine. He loved it too. We both found it hard to put down. All the characters are great, and it's full of good values and lessons

I loved this book so much I then bought it for 2 different children. I did ask a friend's child to read it to as I wondered whether I was hankering after times pasts but she, a 10year old Londoner also thought it was great. Highly recommend. Reading this book has led me to buy other DiCamillo books, which have also been very good but asthma was the first I bought I have a soft spot for it.

This book was very nice and funny with lots of different people in it, but at the end it gets a bit sad but then it gets happier. This book explains that you don't get friends the instant you move to another town, it just takes time and the girl, India Opal has many different friends, adults and kids . The funniest bit of the book is when India Opal finds the dog in the supermarket and names him the name of the supermarket, Winn-Dixie. This book is very nice and I really enjoyed reading it. I hope you have fun reading too.

This book was requested for my second-grade son at his school, and I absolutely loved it! He read it super fast, he enjoyed it, and the story is beautiful. I recommend it to moms who want wholesome and entertaining reading material for their children. Believe me, this is the right book. I loved it!

英語学習者に適した、多読によい分かりやすい英語の本です。ストーリーが地味なので、少し退屈するかもしれません。人は皆んなそれぞれ、歴史があり傷を抱えていて、折り合いをつけながら暮らしている。皆んなが少しずつ優しさを持ち寄る、みたいな、じーんとあたたかい、優しいお話でした。
