So far, amazing!
Gives you all the ports you need and provides a headphone jack (important since it blocks the headphone jack when connected). It comes with rubber feet that you stick on the underside, where there are (quite deep) indents in the aluminium frame, ensuring these rubber feet don't slip off and when on, ensuring the hub is flush with your macbook on the table, so any downward pressure doesn't damage the ports.Plenty of ports on it too. With everything connected, I still have a spare USB C on this thing, as well as a HDMI, micro sd and sd slot.Overall couldn't be happier, plug and play, no issues and ports for days. I keep my usb's plugged into this hub and when I arrive at my cafe of choice, I plug it in and have instant, reliable and consistent connection to all my external devices.AND cheaper than the competition. Couldn't be happier!

Looks a great idea but actually not that well designed
This one has gone back. At first, I thought what a brilliant product - it matched my grey MacBook Air M1 perfectly and had the USB-A ports and SD card slot I really needed, with pass-through charging. However, the first time I pulled the charging cable out, the entire unit pulled out of the two Air USB-C ports rather than the cable pulling out of the port on the hub - the connection to the laptop is weaker and looser than any of the cable/card connections into the hub. The USB-A ports are very firm, nothing wrong with that. But the SD card slot is not only UHS-1 only (lacking the UHS-II speed the Air can use, and which Apple's own SD card reader guarantees) it only allow the card half way in, using the UHS-1 contacts - and it's not an easy fit, it is hard to tell whether you've got the SD card the right way up. The HDMI works perfectly, didn't test the Ethernet. After two days of use, I realised the hub was running very hot 24/7 - even with nothing attached, no programs running, the Air closed, the hub was warm over its entire surface when the MacBook was completely cold. When removed, I found the hub was actually not just warm, its underside and the USB-C connectors were hot to touch. I concluded it must be using power all the time. This also happens with Apple's USB-C to USB-A dongle - the USB-A end casing runs warm when a flash drive is inserted - but this is a very small zone of heat by comparison. The heat may be something found in all such hubs or interfaces, but combined with the other issues, this was not as good as its very neat design implied.

This is a long term review.
I’ve had this for a while now and usually don’t review these things because they often die veeerrrryyy quickly. I was going through these at a ridiculous rate at one point and it was costing me a fortune (other brands I have to say). They simply kept breaking / failing because they were made from cheap components.I’m not sure what this is made from so I can’t comment on that, but what I can say is that this has been considerably more reliable and consistent than others I have tried and is still going strong after a year with heavy usage.I’ve used all the ports regularly as I do a lot of sound and video work and you just plug this into your Mac and go. Speeds are relatively fast for transferring, the size is good and makes it really portable and it feels pretty durable. In terms of installation, you just plug it in and off to go.It feels more sturdy than many others I have used and has stood the test of time so far. I’ve actually been consciously waiting for this to fail for a long time now and it never lets me down.I also like that you can have power plugged into it so you can power / charge the laptop whilst working. There’s a lot of ports which opens up many possibility’s for card transfers, mouse and keyboard inputs, outputs to TV via HDMI, USB can be used for external hard drives too which is a life saver when working with such large files on a regular basis - even with decent laptop storage and (begrudgingly) an ICloud storage subscription, I vastly prefer using external hardrives for reliability and quick access to files. iCloud often lets me down in this regard. When the his does eventually fail, which it inevitably will, I’ll definitely purchase another because I have confidence it will be consistent, reliable and last a decent amount of time which means you are getting your moneys worth from it.

Reliable, fast, and instantly plug-and-play!
I bought this to use with my MacBook Air (2025, M4 chip) for a more stable wired internet connection – and it’s been perfect. Plugged it straight into a USB adapter and it worked instantly, no drivers or setup needed.Speeds are consistently fast, and it’s made a big difference when uploading large video files or doing Zoom calls during bad Wi-Fi moments. The build quality is solid, the cable is flexible but sturdy, and it’s compact enough to throw in a bag without worry. If you need a no-fuss way to get a reliable Ethernet connection on a device with no port, this is exactly what you need. Great value for money too.

Easy to setup and use and works perfectly.
I bought this as I'd been using another adapter for my Macbook Pro 2021 (one with a single usb-c connection on a cable) and it had been OK but used to get hot and the HDMI connection was failing. This product works perfectly. Simply plugs into the side of the Macbook, good secure fit and connects to whatever you plug in without problems. HDMI works beautifully. I can't plug in the usual power adapter for the macbook pro while it's plugged in and connected on HDMI as it covers the port, but if I use the normal USB-C power connector it's OK.Very convenient as I use it while sat at my desk and the usb-3 ports don't feel loose when something is plugged into them. I would recommend and buy again.
