Litcessory 6-Pin to Cut-End Connector for Philips Hue/WiZ Lightstrip (4 Pack, White - Standard 6-PIN V3 / WiZ Lightstrip)

Works perfect with phillips hue light strip. The price seems a little high for what you get but the other brands similar to this item do not work well at all.

If you are looking to install Philips Hue strip lighting, and have anywhere that you want a break in the light to extend to another location, there is nothing else that is as highly recommended as these adapters from Litcessory. I purchased them based purely on those reviews (and largely due to there being no "official" and few other unofficial options for an extension cable that was not just another light strip). There is no doubt that these work, and they are almost as simple as advertised, so if this is a project you have planned look nowhere else.I purchased these and the 10ft extension cable to allow me to run a Philip Hue Light Strip Plus underneath the longest stretch of cabinets in our kitchen. The issue that I ran into was the open section where the range sat above the cooktop. Running lights under there would have looked strange since they would have been exposed on the sides of the cabinets, and ruined the clean look I was going for. Philips Hue does not make a lightless extension, so I had to find something that would allow me to run cable inside the cabinets, over the range, and down to the next section. I found these, and they really do work.The important thing to do when installing these is to watch the videos and read the supplied instructions carefully to make sure you cut the light strips in the right way. That was a bit more fiddly than I would have though, but ultimately not that hard if you were even considering installing the under cabinet lights yourself to begin with. Be extra careful with the male-to-female adapters since they are very fiddly to put back in if you accidentally remove them. If you are careful, they are almost literally plug-and-play.Now that I've had them up a few days I've had no issues with connection or synchronization between the split strips. Everything looks as it should, and moreso maintained the clean look I wanted under the cabinets. Take your time, read the instructions, and these will give you the freedom to design the lighting you want.

Doesn’t fit well, the cut end connection prong are too high up and don’t match the thickness of the LED strip so they don’t touch when the LED strip is inserted or when the clasp is closed. Tried adding some additional thickness to the LED strip to get it to connect and it worked but the connection is inconsistent since it just isn’t a good fit. Other products I bought from Litcessory do work with these strips so may just be inconsistent manufacturing quality.

Worked well just wish I could find some for the Version 4 lights.

We are so happy to have found these !The Philips Hue light strips are expensive and when you cut in in half, you want to use the other half. These connectors worked exactly as promised.We read the instructions and watched the videos on these before purchasing and again before installing.I was scared we would screw this up and have $60 of worthless lightstrip, but if you have basic homeowner fix-it skills, this should not be a problem at all.The tools needed: razor blade, needle nose pliers, and cutting board (so we did not mark up our counters).We used a razor blade knife instead of scissors to cut away the plastic casing and also to cut along the solder points (we did not have good scissors to use). That is a critical piece of information - that you cut where the Litcessory instructions tell you to cut and NOT where Philips asks you to cut. This way you can use both ends for connection.After cutting the light strip we used the razor blade knife to lightly lift up the metal contact points in the open Litcessory connector, slid in the light strip underneath the contact points until it stopped sliding, then closed the connector over the light strip. It did not close all the way and that is when we used our needle nose pliers to press down with more force to lock it into place. The connector has a plastic locking mechanism on the side of it.It was very helpful, that the connector can be converted to male or female connector very easily.Overall - would definitely purchase these again. What a huge, huge help it was to have these available to solve a problem that Philips should have given us a solution for !Thank you Litcessory !

I ran into the same issue a few other reviewers mentioned below, which I should've heeded before buying. Basically what happens is they either won't work or they will only be white and the color won't transmit unless you are pinching the clamp down yourself— and as soon as you let go, the color disappears. I read others saying the solder version is better. However if you've already gotten this one you can do what I did rather than returning it: use some pliers to carefully remove the female-pin end from the clamp part. This will reveal several small pins and looking at it, it appears to be the exact same thing as the solder-on version and it probably is. So I then took that part and very carefully soldered each pin to the cable connections using tweezers and patience to get it just right. Now it works perfectly! The lesson is just save yourself the trouble and get the solder-on version. I luckily already knew how to solder but if you don't know, it's not that hard, just watch a few tutorials and practice on some test wires to get the hang of it. Hopefully this helps someone else out there!

I bought the Philips Hue 80" lightstrip pack but wanted to cut the strip in two and apply the lights in two different spots near each other. Without this adapter and Litcessory's extension cable, you would ordinarily need to purchase a second HUE strip controller. Thankfully Litcessory saved me from that route. As Litcessory helpfully explains, this 6-pin connector is for attaching to a cut end of a HUE lightstrip. I used two connect at each end of the strip I cut, then I used an extension from Litcessory to connect the two strips. The process was super simple and easy. With enough patience and planning I'm confident anyone can do this.The adapter is well made considering its price and function. The included instructions were clear and I did not have any issues getting the connector to work. Now I have a seamless run of HUE strips split into two parts.Please let me know if this review was helpful.

Product worked exactly as advertised and came with super clear instructions. I have used another product like this with a different light strip in the past and had very mixed results. This one worked with the hue system with no fuss. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting to pay but definitely worth the results.

Senza questo connettore, l'alternativa per utilizzare dei ritagli della strip led della Philip Hue è fare 6 saldature molto piccole in meno di 1 centimetro!! Oltre alla manualità ci vuole anche la strumentazione adatta per effettuare le saldature, per questo io consiglio questi adattatori indispensabili per unire due strip led tagliate..Sono semplicissimi da usare: si apre lo sportellino, si infila dentro lo strip led tagliato come da manuale e si richiude lo sportellino.. STOP! E il gioco è fatto...Unico appunto su cui fare ATTENZIONE è che quando si richiude lo sportellino, se uno dei 6 punti di saldatura non fa bene contatto avrete problemi con le colorazioni dello strip led (vedi foto!)... ma ve ne accorgereste subito ed è sufficiente cercare la giusta posizione di inserimento all'interno del connettore!Davvero spettacolari! Sono anche molto piccoli per alloggiare dentro dei profili metallici se si vuole avere un lavoro rifinito a tutti gli effetti!CONSIGLIATI!!

Worked. Worked very well and a nice hack so you can use all of your strips. Especially needed for smaller projects or any where you have to bridge a gap after cutting a section. Really easy to use once you figure it out.
