Roux Porosity Control Shampoo, 15.2 Fluid Ounce

I purchased this product back in September along with the conditioner and was only using hte condtioner which I saw okay results with but for the past 2 weeks I've been using the shampoo and conditioner together and I've found the results to be much better than using the conditioner alone. After shampooing and rinsing I put the conditioner on for 30 secs as recommended(more like a minute or 2 because it takes a little while to cover whole head) and then I rinse out and deep condition with a moisturizing conditioner (Suave Coconut or Herbal Essence Hello Hydration)mixed with coconut or olive oil and leave on for 30 mins under my heating cap. My hair has been softer and shinier and I just did a porosity strand test again this morning and as opposed to a few weeks ago when just a few of the strands I put from different sections in my hair floated this time "ALL" of my hairs FLOATED!!I am so pleased and happy that I have found this product!! I strongly recommend buying both the shampoo and the conditioner and using them togther I believe you'll find the results much better!

I love this shampoo, which I purchased along with the porosity control conditioner of the same brand. From the moment of applying the shampoo my hair felt extremely hydrated, I could easily run my fingers through and detangle (and this was before using the conditioner). I bought this to use as a pretreatment before coloring my hair with semi-permanent dye to keep my hair porosity even (for more even color application), but this will probably be my go-to shampoo from here on out. I have curly hair, and after using my curls were more defined and felt moisturized.

I have very porous hair and love this stuff - my hair feels like it did in high school. I was light blonde as a kid but now am light brown/dark blonde. My hair is so porous it can't be highlighted using foils in a salon. It processes too quickly and is already overprocessed by the time they're done wrapping. So I just use the john frieda go blonder spray to lighten it. This stuff has really helped, though if I need to tone out the brassiness (I have more red as I've gotten older) I"ll use a neutral protein filler after shampooing with this and before putting on Blond Brilliance semi permanent toner.

Not as effective as it used to be,

You hear people say, "you will tell the differences after the first uses". It's true! I've been using this product since 2014 along with the conditioner. My hair doesn't break into short pieces like it did before using the product. It's hard to find a good product for black hair. This works extremely well on my hair!

I recently went platinum blonde. As you might know this process can be very hard on your hair if it overlaps the hair that's already been bleached. Normally I go to a professional to get this done but since it seems that no one wants to do it here where I live I bought what I needed and did it myself. I was very happy with the results. Although, my hair became very very porous. I did some research and found that this product has some pretty great reviews. WOW, I was NOT expecting that much of an in improvement with the first application. I WOULD MOST definitely recommend this product. Combined with the the Roux Mendex Mending Treatment, and the Roux Porosity Control Corrector and conditioner, your on your way to getting your hair back into shape. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

I LOVE this product! I have Sisterlocks. My locs were fuzzy, super soft and broke easily. I tried protein treatments but they didn't solve the problem & the creme conditions in them caused buildup, which attracted lint. It was suggested that my hair was too porous so I found this product. What a DIFFERENCE in just a month of shampooing 3x/week. My existing locks are smoother, aren't breaking off & look healthier. If I'd thought to take pics before I used it, I'd post a before & after. So sorry for that.

This was recommended by my stylist and this has worked wonders on the amount of moisture for my hair. I have sister locs and it has helped to maintain the frizziness of my hair.
