This works!
I put this around a palm that was dying, the new leaves where coming out looking kind of death. I put half a bag the first time, 2 feet away from the trunk all around and a lot of water. After 3 months the Palm started to grow new green leaves. I repeated the application at 6 months. Now after 2 years is completely recovered.

It saved my beautiful palm! Inverted V leaves indicated manganese and boron deficiency. I treated with this and Borax and my nearly dead tree sprang to life again. Beautiful healthy leaves! And thriving!
